Insects in this family are commonly called stilt-legged flies, after their characteristically long legs. The fore legs are markedly smaller than the other pairs. Mostly they are long-bodied, often black flies, usually with infuscated (darkened) wings. Wings are reduced in the genera Calycopteryx and entirely absent in the ant-like Badisis ambulans.[1]
These Anoles were all finished procreating more lizards ... but they just sat there and sat there and sat there. Long enough for me to go inside and get my camera and come back out ... and they still sat there and sat there and sat there. I finally left! How odd!
Was fortunate to capture the behaviour earlier this year. Extracted this frame from 4K video that I captured. Will post the video when I ll get chance to process.

I have a tree in my front yard which is a Carolina Silverbell. In the spring it has beautiful bell shaped flowers that smell wonderful and attract a lot of bees. I picked a flower bunch and photographed it on white paper with my iPhone. I processed it on my iPad. The pod shapes are from another picture I took by the pond. The tree’s name is Micky.
