valuable tools I''''ve found to help people move further down
the path of inquiry. Most of the UW Libraries'''' reference sources, whether
specialized encyclopedias, dictionaries, statistical compendia, or atlases, are replete with potential for solving problems, answering questions, and inspiring more of the same.
But during a recent stroll through the reference collection, I stumbled upon this 3-volume set, the <a href="http://catalog.lib.washington.edu/record=b3508150~S6">Encyclopedia of World Problems and Human Potential</a>. That''''s right, the first volume is a thousand-page list of problems. What kind of problems?
It''''s a taxonomy of problems ranging from "abstract fundamental problems", "very specific problems", "emanations
of other problems", and "fuzzy exceptional problems".
A small sampling, each of which you could find a description and cross reference to various human potentials (volume 2) that could be used to address those problems:

One problem with taking notes on my laptop is that I can't easily copy down pictures from the board. My digital camera in theory should fix this, but I can't use the flash in the middle of class, and without the flash we get pictures like this. Any suggestions?

This truck had tipped over at a major intersection near our house. These kinds of accidents seem reasonably common since many vehicles carry loads that are not properly tied down and sometimes are driven like motobikes.

Turns out there was a bad solder joint on one of the USB pins. The trackball lasted for a few years but all the mechanical knocking about that Keyron gave it when he hooked it to his laptop and the pin worked loose from mechanical movement.

Their gig previous to this was Glastonbury. This time they were on the tiny Radio Ulster (Bandstand) stage at Stendhal.
They describe themselves as "four-piece feminist queer punk band from Belfast". Great fun, energy and they sound great too and are great at banter with the crowd. I was looking forward to them at Stendhal and they didnt dissapoint! I love them!
