My First Problem!

I put almost all the rest of the plywood on tonight. All that's left are four scraps that I need to use to fill two triangular regions (you can see them both in this photo, in fact) and one long strip at the top of the vertical face. Otherwise, it's complete! Uh, okay, minus a lot of the screws, all the paint, the tarps, the fence... you get the idea.

It was compelling enough, though, that I couldn't resist, when Erik's friend Nathan asked, "How do you actually climb up that tilted wall?", setting a campus route for fun (and to see how feeble I am these days.) I managed to campus it... but then there are no terribly long moves...

Anyway, it was exciting! Seeing a full problem set on my wall, climbing on it, feeling the terrain a little bit... I think I'm really going to like having this around.

Oh, and no, I did not campus to the green and black holds at the top. Those were left there from when I put that top panel up. Note that they open downwards. Handy construction technique. Not part of the campus route.
