It never ceases to amaze me that people think they have climbed a mountain by parking on a roadside near the top and walking a few feet, I guess that's a sign of ageing, a different generation. In my day few had cars and we walked from the nearest village way below out of sight. At least these people are active, some even run the fells. On Sundays the car parks are full if you don't arrive early. I don't like crowds and would normally try to avoid them but on holiday one has to seize the best weather days.

L'église Saint-Vincent-de-Paul est une église située dans le quartier du Chapitre, en haut de la Canebière ; les Marseillais la surnomment église des Réformés.
Elle doit son nom courant à l'emplacement d'une ancienne chapelle des Augustins Réformés. La première pierre de cette ancienne chapelle avait été posée par le duc de Guise le 20 juin 1611 et elle avait été dédiée à saint Nicolas de Tolentino.
Après le Concordat, elle fut détruite le 31 octobre 1868 pour laisser place à l'église actuelle.
Cette nouvelle église fut bâtie suivant les plans de l'architecte François Reybaud qui adopta le style gothique du XIIIè siècle et la première pierre fut posée le 22 avril 1855 par Mgr Eugène de Mazenod. Cependant, l'édification ne fut pas sans problème : en 1862, l'architecte s'étant retiré, un prêtre, l'abbé Joseph Pougnet, refit les plans ; puis il fallut l'aide des paroissiens de Saint-Vincent-de-Paul en 1885, qui réunirent trois millions de francs, pour permettre finalement l'inauguration le 20 septembre 1886.
Les deux flèches de l'église s'élèvent à 70 mètres. Ses portes en bois sont ornées de panneaux de bronze réalisés par Caras-Latour et les superbes vitraux sont d'Edouard Didron.
L'église est inscrite au titre des monuments historiques par arrêté du 2 mars 2015.
Durch diverse Probleme in Regensburg konnte die Schwandorfer Übergabe erst später fahren. Am 11.06.2025 war als Zuglok DE18 140 eingeteilt. Inzwischen frage ich mich, ob das die einzige Lok ist, die hier in der Gegend fährt.
Hier fährt der Zug an der bekannten Anrufschranke in Zeitlarn vorbei.

Soms gaat alles niet zoals je verwacht dat gaat. De 1824 zou vandaag deze trein gaan ophalen in Zutphen vanaf Amersfoort, alleen door een technisch probleem strandde deze loc bij Stroe. De 1740 werd opgetrommeld als reddende engel, maar niet van de 1824, maar als vervanger van deze loc. Zo kwam het dat ik 2 uur te vroeg langs het spoor stond en weer huiswaarts kon gaan. De dienstregeling was met +120 opgeschoven. Dat gaf me wel de gelegenheid om een andere plek te zoeken.
De loc zou dus eerst los van Amersfoort naar Zutphen gaan, daar de trein aanhaken, naar Deventer Goederenemplacement rijden, omlopen en weer terug naar Zutphen en dan verder naar Roosendaal. De logica ontgaat mij daarvan, maar het zal vast iets met omlopen in Zutphen te maken hebben, dat dat daar niet kan.
Enfin, voor mij alleen maar beter. Ik had bedacht in de boog bij Joppe te gaan staan, daar zou de zon rond 15 uur mooi staan. Helaas had ik mij dus een uur vergist, want de passage was 14u en de zon was verdwenen achter de wolken. Ook is er bij de overweg van de Flierderweg geen eer meer te behalen aan het maken van een mooie foto omdat er opeens allemaal rare borden, electrakasten en hekken geplaatst zijn. Dat was hier nog niet het geval.
Gelukkig was ik met de auto en had ik bij hoge uitzondering een trap bij me zodat ik langs de beek (Fliert) richting het spoor kon lopen en met de trap iets hoger kon staan. Wel jammer van de vieze nette schoenen die ik aan had (faal), maar je moet er wat voor over hebben. Door gebrek aan een zonnetje een vrij fletse foto helaas en wellicht ook niet helemaal scherp, maar ik ben er content mee.
Hier rijdt de trein bij Joppe richting Zutphen met meerdere geluidssignalen.

“So, what are you worried about, Sky?” Asked Barnaby as the bears gathered around for the man to take their photograph.
“Quite a lot, Barnaby. Honey supplies for a start.”
“Honey supplies, Sky? What is the problem?” Asked Bertie also looking concerned.
“It all comes down to the man. He is trying different places where he gets his food from using the complonker. He uses new digits to order and while I have watched and think I have the new ones I was not sure.”
“Sky, the man had the usual van deliver his things last week, I saw it there and was waiting for our stuff but it did not come.” Said Posh Bear.
“No, it is all getting confusing. The man seems to be ordering from both the new one and the old one, which makes it difficult for me to know which one to add our things to. Anyway, I think the man is going bonkers.” Said Sky.
“I quite agree, Sky, but then we have always thought that.” Said Bertie smiling.
“No, I mean totally bonkers, Bertie. When the man had a friend around here recently, I noticed that they were both talking to a green growing plant his has. He has even given it a name and was calling it Vera and he was saying hello to it. It didn’t answer, and his friend even tried but the plant ignored them.”
“Are you sure, Sky?” Asked Posh Bear looking worried.
“Yes, they both kept on saying hello Vera to this plant. Is that weird or what? Then he starts ordering his things from two suppliers.”
“That is very strange behaviour, Sky, I agree. I wonder why he called it Vera? Why not Sky, Bertie, Theo, or Posh, like we are called? Why give the green thing that grows a name at all? All very strange, but not that important to us bears. Now, the possible lack of honey, well that is different.” Said Posh Bear.
“Luckily Posh, we have a genius at the helm of ordering, and I have taken measures to make certain that we still can order from now on.”
“Sky is such a genius.” Said Barnaby looking in admiration at his friend.
“I know, Barnaby, but as I was saying.” Said Sky
“So modest with it too.” Chimed in Bertie giggling.
“As I was saying, I am now ordering from both suppliers, however, there is a slight problem in that if they both supply, we may have a little more than normal.”
“You say a little more, Sky, roughly how much more?” Asked Posh Bear.
“Well, just in case one supplier did not send us what we ordered, I added extra to both orders. Well, I think I did for I was never much good at numbers, so, well I think we had better make extra room to store what comes.”
“So, is it fair to say that you do not know what you ordered then, Sky?” Asked Bertie.
“Well, I am not totally sure, Bertie, but if you need to know I am sure that Vera would know for she was looking at the screen as I did the ordering. So, do you speak green growing thingy, Bertie?”
“Time will tell, Bertie, we will soon find out.” Said Posh Bear smiling.

Visited a very quite Moraine Lake ("above" Lake Louise). the parking lot at L. Louise was full again so we decided to try our luck at Moraine. No problems parking there. You should have seen it last year, people lining up at the road entrance at 5:00AM to get up to the lake. Like it a bit better this way. ;( though mixed feelings about the reasons !! see date if you remember those times.

Mit dem Frühling happert es dieses Jahr gewaltig. Die lange Kälte und der viele Regen haben zur Folge, dass die Schmetterlinge in meinem Garten noch nicht präsent sind.
