I seem to have some mark on my Canon DSLR sensor. I have not idea what it is, maybe someone out there may have an idea.

It seemed like two plastic gears in the RA drive were sliding across each other, instead of engaging. I dont know why they used plastic to make these gears.

What up to everyone sweatin' in the heat!
So at midnight, Friday night, I was hanging out with my mom and we were suffering in the heat. My family is hella San Franciscan which means we boogie in the fog but the heat can be some ill shit to us. We decide to take a walk down Valencia street to buy some ice cream and hit the streets.
The silver lining of these hot days is how the Mission District comes alive once the sun goes down. Walking down the street I could hear the sounds of a house party coming out of every third apartment. All my peoples were out in the street and having a good time. Peering down an alleyway there was a fire dancer performing for an appreciative audience. It felt like a beautiful throwback to the Mission District of my youth.
My mom and I bought a bag fulla It's-its, Choco Tacos, and Drumsticks at the corner store on 24th and Valencia and walked home. We decide to have a seat in front of our apartment and have our ice cream. By this time it was going on 1am and we were just sitting there basking in the cool night breeze. Out of nowhere we see my Dad coming home, from a night of art partyin', and suddenly we're all hanging out eating ice cream together. My parents have been separated for more than two decades but it felt really good to be a family again, if only briefly, in this amazing night. So there we were, three people eating ice cream, talking about art, and enjoying the night air together. Damn, I love San Francisco.

Ps. I think I figured out the over exposure problem with Photo Booth. Maya was right, if I turn the brightness down it helps a lot. I think the angle of the screen was also making things funky.
DESASTRE EN SINALOA AFECTARÁ A TODO EL PAÍS: CALDERÓN
•El presidente atendió el llamado del gobernador para hacer frente a la contingencia.
•Anunció un paquete de acciones inmediatas para resembrar el maíz perdido.
Culiacán, Sinaloa, a 11 de febrero del 2011.- Al reconocer que el desastre agrícola registrado en Sinaloa derivado de la onda gélida que azotó la semana pasada es un problema de dimensiones nacionales, el presidente de la República, Felipe Calderón Hinojosa, dijo que para asegurar el abasto del maíz para los mexicanos es necesario resembrar cuando menos 300 mil hectáreas en este estado, y para ello anunció varios apoyos por parte de la Federación.
El presidente de México realizó una visita a Culiacán, a petición del gobernador Mario López Valdez, para reunirse con productores, ganaderos y jornaleros agrícolas, a quienes entregó los primeros cheques del Programa de Empleo Temporal Emergente, así como vales para la adquisición de semilla a los agricultores, con el propósito de que inicien cuanto antes a resembrar la superficie siniestrada por las heladas.
Calderón Hinojosa reconoció que la producción anual de cinco millones de toneladas de maíz blanco de Sinaloa es vital para el consumo nacional, ya que es utilizada en la elaboración de tortillas, alimento básico de los mexicanos y que no debe faltar en ninguna mesa, por eso urgió en la necesidad de resembrar en menos de 15 días para alcanzar una producción de tres millones de toneladas, que garantice ese abasto.
“Con mi presencia vengo a refrendar el total compromiso del Gobierno Federal con el estado de Sinaloa, ante esta situación tan dramática”, puntualizó el primer mandatario de la nación, quien se hizo acompañar por el secretario de Agricultura, Francisco Mayorga Castañeda, y de los funcionarios que desde hace dos días están en Culiacán, como el propio secretario de Desarrollo Social, Heriberto Félix Guerra; el director de Financiera Rural, Gustavo Merino Mujica; y el director de FIRA, Rodrigo Sánchez Rodríguez.
Las medidas puntuales que anunció el presidente se refieren a lo más inmediato y urgente, como no demorar el pago de las indemnizaciones de los seguros, e incluso indicó que giró instrucciones al director de Agroasemex, Ignacio Loyola, -quien lo acompañó en el evento- para pagar de manera ágil y oportuna todos los seguros a partir de este fin de semana.
El segundo punto tiene que ver con los productores que no contrataron el seguro agrícola de sus cultivos, y para resarcir sus daños entrará en operación el Fondo del Programa de Previsión y Manejo de Riesgos, de la Sagarpa, que consiste en apoyos de hasta dos mil pesos por hectárea en zona de riego y de mil 200 pesos por hectárea en zona de temporal.
También, dio a conocer que se adelantará el Procampo y el Progan, para incrementar las opciones de ingreso de los productores y puedan sembrar nuevamente.
Asimismo, como tercer punto, Calderón Hinojosa dijo que está el financiamiento, y al respecto informó que dio instrucciones tanto a Financiera Rural como a FIRA para agilizar los trámites que permitan el otorgamiento de nuevos créditos.
Concretamente, Financiera Rural y el FIRA, tienen la instrucción de hacer las siguientes acciones: primero, apoyar a los productores afectados, con la entrega expedita de nuevos créditos para la resiembra. “Esto para mí es la prioridad, y puedo asegurarles que todo el dinero que se necesite para crédito de resiembra estará aquí presente en Sinaloa”, precisó.
Otra medida será reestructurar las créditos vigentes, que se ofrezcan prórrogas sin cobro de intereses adicionales, sin afectar el historial de los productores en el Buró de Crédito. Tercero, que a pesar de la helada, se continúe con los desembolsos pactados para todos los acreditados que sufrieron daños parciales.
Cuarto, que se instalen módulos especiales para la atención inmediata; quinto, respaldar a los productores con apoyos tecnológicos a fin de que puedan resembrar; y sexto, apoyar con financiamiento la compra de fertilizante y otros insumos.
En este sentido, dijo que se iniciaron pláticas con los proveedores de semilla, para que ofrezcan crédito a los productores, con respaldo del Gobierno del Estado y Federal, además de un descuento de hasta un 50 por ciento en los precios.
El presidente de México reiteró que para él lo fundamental es proteger la producción y el abasto de maíz blanco, lo cual es una prioridad de carácter nacional, y la clave para ello es la resiembra.
“Tenemos 15 días para resembrar todo el campo de Sinaloa que sea posible. Sé que hay muchas inquietudes y demandas, pero lo que no podemos comprar después es tiempo. Por eso, les quiero pedir que entre todos, rojos, amarillos, azules, nos dediquemos a hacer un esfuerzo para resembrar cuanto antes el campo, principalmente con maíz blanco para el consumo humano”, precisó.
Por su parte, el secretario de Agricultura, Francisco Mayorga, anunció un paquete de ayuda para el sector ganadero, que consiste en un apoyo de 27 mil pesos por unidad de producción (hatos ganaderos).
Explicó que del ciclo agrícola otoño-invierno 2010-2011 ya se han entregado 180 millones de pesos a los productores y otros 420 millones más están próximos a distribuirse con el adelanto del Procampo, por lo que en los siguientes días la Sagarpa invertirá en el estado mil 40 millones de pesos para atender la contingencia.
A su vez, el secretario de Desarrollo Social, Heriberto Félix Guerra, informó que a través de Diconsa, donde se cuenta con un inventario de 700 mil toneladas de maíz blanco, se asegurará el consumo para 20 millones de familias vulnerables de diferentes estados del país.

This is one of my favourite events of the year.
It is claimed that a record 60,000 people turned out for the LGBTI+ Dublin Pride Parade on Saturday, about double the previous year’s numbers. To be honest it appeared to be bigger than this years Saint Patrick's Day Parade and it was a lot more fun.
Unfortunately I met one very nasty person who took great exception to the parade and the Indian Hippy in charge of the country.
This year I had more-or-less decided not to photograph this event because of the current heatwave. Both myself and my camera have suffered badly from overheating over the last ten days so I have decided to remain indoors as much as possible.
However when I discovered that it passed very close to my apartment I decided that it might be a good idea to go along and take a few photographs.
