EMIGRANTES ENTREGAN CARTA A PRESIDENTA DE LA REPUBLICA
N@CH/ Santiago de Chile/10/07/2009/ Con una clara alusión y téngase presente de la situación que le toco vivir a la Presidenta de la Republica tras el golpe de estado del mes de septiembre de 1973 en lo relativo al exilio y a su situación de refugiada y emigrante de su país, los emigrante peruanos y en medio de un asedio policial entregaron una carta a la mandataria dando cuenta de los problemas que le tocan vivir por ser emigrantes, de piel morena , latinos y no contar con bienes económicos como lo que ocurre con los emigrantes europeos o estadounidenses quienes tienen la suerte de tener los ojos azules, piel blanca y plata según las palabra del secretario de esta agrupación de emigrantes, Raúl Paiba, el contenido de la carta fue dado a conocer en exclusiva a nuestro medio y es el siguiente:
“Con los respetos y consideraciones que se merece, nuevamente acudimos a Ud., esperando esta vez sí una respuesta concreta y no protocolar, ante la angustiante situación que afecta a los inmigrantes, como nuevamente se la narramos”:
“Por el constante maltrato del Departamento de Extranjería y Migración contra las y los trabajadores inmigrantes, eso luego de que su gobierno se atreviera a aceptar, luego de arduos años de exigir una regularización migratoria, que beneficiaría tanto al pueblo chileno y el extranjero avecindado. Aunque, como le manifestamos en su oportunidad, además de las múltiples veces que hicimos justas y razonables propuestas para el mejor desarrollo de dicho proceso, en especial al Departamento de Extranjería, que realizaron ese procedimiento en términos que no respondían a la realidad, no obstante muchos extranjeros se regularizaron. Hoy nuevamente, sin respuesta alguna a nuestras propuestas, razonables y justas a nuestro entender, se viene desarrollando la segunda etapa de esta regularización, en la cual supuestamente entregarían el permiso de permanencia definitiva. En particular Ud., Sra. Presidente y así como le hemos hecho saber al solidario pueblo chileno, deben conocer lo que significa este trámite y entre otras cosas le hacemos presente que”
1. Es una espera de casi 10 meses para su concreción, tiempo en el cual no se nos otorga una cédula de identidad. Documento sin el cual ocurren los múltiples atropellos que relatamos:
• No podemos cobrar nuestros cheques, tanto en los Bancos como en Servipag, existiendo casos en que van a perderlos por el vencimiento de la fecha.
• No se nos da la cobertura del seguro de cesantía, tampoco los certificados de nuestras aportaciones.
• No se permite a las mujeres cobrar su pre y pos natal en el COMPIN.
• Se nos niegan los certificados de antecedentes, la inscripción de los niños en el Registro Civil y no se permite la celebración de matrimonios.
• No se nos permite inscribir en FONASA.
• No se escrituran ni se les renueva los correspondientes contratos de trabajo.
• No se nos dan los correspondientes certificados de cursos SENCE.
• Detenciones arbitrarias por parte de Carabineros.
• No se permite la matrícula escolar de nuestros hijos, muchos de ellos chilenos.
• A los varones se les está exigiendo el carné de permanencia definitiva para contratarlos y si no lo tienen le pagan sueldos reducidos o no les pagan completo su salario aduciendo los subcontratistas que no les han pagado completo y lo harán en los días siguientes, y así les van dando por “puchos” lo que les deben o desaparecen y se quedan con parte del pago del trabajador.
2. Expulsión del padre o la madre dejando en la orfandad a los niños y niñas, atentando contra los derechos del niño y la unidad familiar.
3. Maltrato en la atención en las dependencias de Extranjería y Migración, además desinformación por criterios diferentes frente a un mismo problema
4. Ante tal situación algunos de nuestros compañeros inmigrantes han decidido su retorno y ello no se logra, no sólo por la actuación de extranjería sino porque no existe un programa de retorno que debería darse en común acuerdo con los gobiernos de los cuales procedemos y los organismos internacionales correspondientes.
“Pese a sus palabras, en su reciente visita a México, de no cerrar fronteras, en el caso de la frontera del norte de su país eso no ocurre. Ello indigna, la migración y el refugio, como Ud., incluso por experiencia personal conoce, es un derecho y no se puede negar el especial impulso de la dinámica inmigrante en las economías. Chile no es ajena a ello, múltiples emprendedores del país han desarrollado sus ideas y proyectos por los inmigrantes, son cada vez más los extranjeros que emprenden y por ello también aportan al país, no es cierto, una y mil veces más que la oferta laboral inmigrante afecte a los trabajadores del país, sólo sino se da paso a la regularidad migratoria se producen abusos laborales como los señalados y ello esta en contra de los principios del pueblo chileno y en contra de los acuerdos internacionales que ha suscrito el país”.
“Por todo lo anterior y esperando que esta vez, es decir, considerando las múltiples que hemos acudido ante Ud. y ante las entidades que correspondían, dicho sea de paso sin respuesta, acoja el atender y no contestar protocolarmente la presente, esperando una vez que esta llegue a sus manos y no se quede en la de sus asistentes, nos despedimos esperando nuevamente su atención”

We did have one issue I forgot to mention, after burning some scraps the fire actually went into the tundra and burned unground. We woke up one morning to a pretty serious fire that required nearly a day to put out. We hauled water from the ocean in the Bobcat bucket then set up an assembly line passing a five gallon bucket to douse the fire. This could have spelled disaster.

Maggie had managed to hurt herself again. Late summer she tore a hole in her leg escaping the backyard with a 6ft fence. This time she split a nail all the way up to the toe. They had to cut off the nail at the toe.

This is my (second) attempt at Hasslefree's Problem Child Alice. My first attempt made me leave her in a bottle of Pinesol over night (I hate it when my hand slips with a bunch of thick paint!) The base is supposed to be floor boards. I suppose they do look like floor boards if you use your imagination. I do so love this little mini though.
