The little ring thing is loose. It moves more or less depending on where the zoom and focus are set, and I'm pretty sure it has fallen down/scooted back far enough once to either interfere with the mirror, or at least block light -- I was able to see the curved black shape of the ring through the viewfinder and the image made was completely dark.

Would it be a terrible idea to leave this ring out? I don't want to damage my $500 camera with a $50 lens. :-/ And it's so loose, I can't believe it's serving any functional purpose.

I get this problem a lot. I was kind of surprised how much shaving was involved for a prostatectomy. Ralph was looking at that and acting all casual because he mis-read the diagram. While I was tending to my garden in what was a beautiful sunny day, I heard a thunderous roar coming from the top of well st in the paisley west end. But it wasn’t till I heard it a second time did I decided to investigate the ruckus where at the top of Well st the police where stopping traffic from heading up the hill while forcing cars to turn back down. One female or should I say non binary person, no fuck that! it was a woman officer who said a parade was on its way. I had no clue what it was so turned back to grab my camera then back to see along Broomland street an “All Under One Banner” march heading for the town centre in what was a walk round town and back to Ferguslie Park Gardens. The march came up the west end, down lady lane, up George street, up Causeyside and back through the towns high street stopping once or twice for the other marchers to catch up. One officer said around 1000 turned out and later a steward said 4000 while another steward also later said 1000. Though Margaret from well streets fruit shop who witnessed it all including all the motor bikes I only heard said. It was around 4000 easy.

The March along with its speakers ended up in the park behind were the old coats house once stood before being gifted to the people of paisley looking over Ferguslie Park and where I shot the speakers from all angles while others stood fixed in one spot with their cameras and phones. As I always say, I shoot everything and everyone to show the scale of the event while placing those who came along to watching in what was a political event to condemn poverty, Russia and all things politics to this point in history.

I`m glad to say there was a wide political view point, to which some I totally disagreed with, yet others I vocally “yelled allowed” to show total agreement with. Though I was disappointed they kept referring to Russia while ignoring the human rights violating China whose bio weapon Covid-19 has killed over 5.9 million poor souls around the world. Plus many of the speakers where part of the SNP whom many of you will know I`ve long lost faith in and I’m one of the 45 who voted yes. Plus the speakers never pointed out while 9000+ Scots who were killed by Covid still haven’t been compensated or we all the people who lost two years of our lives, our liberties, common law rights, lost love and work opportunities while scared into taking an experimental untested dangerous gen therapy drug or you can’t go anywhere. Again we have not been compensated for these violations of our human rights. Plus what about those who caught Covid and damaged by the so called vaccine, they haven’t been compensated. This while condemning Russian they have long ignored communist China with the worst human rights violations in the world and end even now have taken control of THE THIRDS of “Scotland oil production” where they drill 200.000 barrows a day….. NOW THAT FUCKING PISSES ME OFF SCOTLAND.

So before condemning the world we should all look at why your leaders are not sueing China to compensate all Scot to which I say. Those of you who lost loved ones you get £10m. If you caught coved you get £1m. All of us who lost our freedoms, liberty and life opportunities including the chance to meet and fall in love, for this over two years of lock down we get £200.000. Plus those and many folks have been damaged and even died from taking this experimental drug just like Covid has created long term health problems for people…. So you get £5m…… You know what! I sound like a skin flint and those numbers could, if not should be higher….

The world is a scary place when leaders consistently change the battle field and draw your attention from one horror to the next while leaving we the people to suffer for their many mistakes and if Chine who control a massive amount of the worlds debt, then lets sue those bastards and it will be them in debt and we who’ll be better off and out of debt…. China fucking owes us big time, but sadly your leaders “NOT MINE” are suspiciously quiet…. Russia is a diversion folks and created by the new world order in their zest to bring forth the great rest where we will all own nothing and be happy to which those who gave you covid are now giving you war…

The problem with having a standard poodle that never leaves your side is that you just can't stop snapping photos of him when the camera is around.

This is a different color than bermuda turns in the winter. The lighter patches are the color that's more typical. Unless possibly I have more than 1 type of grass growing???

We bought two large garden rockers last Summer, and they were great. The problem was, they couldn't stay out all seasons and they took up room in the shed. A lot of room.

After many false starts - including the idea of suspending them from the shed roof - I worked out that I could hang them on the wall! And in the end it only took an hour.

Here's the first one in position, shot from both sides so you can see the mounting bracket (there's now also a small secondary bracket at the bottom, supporting the footrest).

For the Artists Solve Problems project, I set technical, conceptual, and physical limitations on my finished piece of art. For technical limitations, I decided to challenge myself by not utilizing a studio or a tripod to shoot my photographs. In addition, I also challenged myself to use photoshop to combine pictures that I took, with art (of my own) to make a piece that looks more like a painting rather than a photo taken by a camera. For my physical limitation, I decided to take candid pictures of my subject, in this case my brother. Conceptually, I limited myself from using greenery and anything that exuded strong, natural color. I also wanted to limit myself from anything that had a clear meaning.

Since the name of this piece is called ‘Sad Enigma’, I wanted to combine drawing, fragments of pictures, and digital editing to convey my piece of artwork. I want this piece to be puzzling and mysterious but at the same time, convey a sad meaning. I want this piece to depict the various facades people carry before they face severe isolation. As you can see, the colorless figures of the boy in the background, represents the sad and confused mask he is left with after being controlled by society. The colorful version of the boy (still referring to the background) depicts the face that he chooses to show to the public. If you look at the colors I used for his clothing, dark blue, green, and yellow, I chose them purposefully. Dark blue is usually associated with intelligence and strength. Green is associated with freshness, growth, and most importantly harmony. Lastly, yellow is associated with happiness and optimism. As you can tell, the colors are associated with positivity. However, these colors are merely a disguise of his true identity. Closer to the foreground, you can see the boy wearing white (purity) as well as holding some sunglasses while also wearing gold (value) rings. This is the boy before he chose to make himself a product of society.

In regards to the obstacles that I faced, initially, I had no idea on what I was going to do for this project. I did not want combinations that were repetitive in the class, but I also was not thinking straight during the course of the project. I mean, I missed some coursework due to absences, but I tried my best to get back on track. I believe that by taking some time to do research in class and casually viewing my peers classwork, I was able to come up with a solid combination of limitations.

With these limitations, I learned to use the oil painting effect on photoshop. This allowed me to turn the several fragments of pictures into one cohesive piece that, in my opinion looks like a piece of art you would find in an oil painting class. I also gained more awareness behind the beauty of taking candid shots, of people. Although I did not use my brother’s face for my final piece, it was fun to take pictures of him doing things. I do not necessarily take a lot of candid shots but based on my project, I am willing to take more.
