Tomorrow I am travelling to Galway and I decided that I would bring a Sony 28-135 G lens and I am willing to bet that few people are aware of this lens. Anyway, I decided to give it a try this this morning and discovered that my sensor had hundreds of dust spots that showed up as I approached f/22. I decided that it was best to have it professionally cleaned. At 3PM when I collected my camera I decided to get the LUAS to Laughanstown where there is an ancient church and graveyard.
When I returned home I discovered that there had been an autofocus problem and about 50% of the images were unusable. I was really surprised but after much investigation I discovered that the camera was somehow been reset during the sensor cleaning process and it was using version 1.01 of the firmware instead of the version 3.0 [the most recent version is actually 3.01]. This was a serious problem as attempts to upgrade in the past have failed and I had to bring the camera to my local dealer to be upgraded. Some of my lenses will not work correctly with ver 1.01 so I had to try to upgrade at home and much to me surprise the upgrade actually worked.
A few hours ago I tested the lens by taking some photographs on Henrietta Street and have decided that there is actually a problem so I may need to select another lens.
There were problems on the canal today. The railway swing bridge at Banavie had been stuck since yesterday so unusually they two locks of boats waiting to go through the swing bridges once working again - four boats.

This is not the picture of your van you want to see on your vacation. The front right tire began wobbling because of a separating belt. We stopped at a Walmart in Chattanooga. While there I noticed that my brand new tire on the driver rear side had a bubble so we replaced that one too.

Lo anterior durante la celebración de su 10° Congreso Nacional Ordinario, en donde también se aprobó por unanimidad trabajar para lograr una izquierda unida y fuerte, ya que consideran que el 2018 es el año de las izquierdas.
Además, se acordó buscar a los mejores perfiles que encabecen las causas más apremiantes del pueblo mexicano y la construcción de una estrategia para evitar el fraude electoral, junto con una militancia sólida, organizada, y poderosa.
Asimismo, en el evento que reunió a 1,210 delegados, tanto efectivos como fraternos, provenientes de los 32 estados de la República, se resolvió acatar de manera cabal los efectos de la sentencia emitida por el Tribunal Electoral del Poder Judicial de la Federación (TEPJF), en relación a garantizar la paridad de género en la integración de sus órganos directivos.
Al respecto, tanto dirigentes y militantes, como en otras ocasiones, sin mayor problema, estuvieron de acuerdo en respetar las Resoluciones del TEPJF, que fueron emitidas apenas este viernes.
Alejandro González Yáñez fue el encargado de presentar la propuesta de resolución sobre la alianza con Morena, consideró que la izquierda mexicana vive un momento histórico que tiene que aprovecharse para alcanzar la victoria en el 2018 y así trazar un nuevo rumbo para México, ya que en estos momentos se registra una decadencia total y la población vive en la desesperanza.
Por su parte el Coordinador Nacional del PT, Alberto Anaya Gutiérrez, reiteró su interés de trabajar para lograr que toda la izquierda mexicana vaya unida en los siguientes comicios electorales y enarbolar un Proyecto de Nación que salve al país de la crisis social, económica y la inseguridad que se vive actualmente.
Convocó a todos los petistas para trabajar desde este momento rumbo al 2018, creando la estructuras que permitan defender los votos en las casillas y así evitar un fraude como los que se registraron en 2006 y 2012, al mismo tiempo pidió perfilar a las mejores mujeres y hombres para que puedan ser candidatos de la izquierda en las elecciones del próximo año.
“Si trabajamos desde ahorita creando estructuras que permitan defender los votos que se emitan y desde ahora nos damos a la tarea de buscar las mejores mujeres y hombres tanto de nuestro partido como de la sociedad, para que puedan ser candidatos el pròximo año, les puedo asegurar que nadie nos detendrá y ganaremos las elecciones en el 2018”.
También en su discurso denunció que ante las posturas que ha asumido el PT, siempre a favor de la población, y negarse al contubernio con las autoridades, enfrentan una fuerte persecusión por parte del Esado, en donde se les quiere eliminar del escenario político mexicano.
Con la presencia de representantes de partidos políticos de Nicaragua, El Salvador, Cuba y Vietnam, e integrantes del cuerpo diplomático acreditado en México, la militancia y dirigentes petistas ratificaron su unidad y su compromiso de mantenerse firmes en la lucha para contribuir a un verdadero cambio en México y consolidarse como una de las fuerzas progresistas más importantes en México.
Durante los trabajos de este Congreso se desahogaron varios puntos de la agenda prevista como: Actualización de Estatutos, Informe de Actividades, aprobaciòn de Escuela de Cuadros, entre otros asuntos partidarios, y con el propósito de dar cumplimiento a los Resolutivos del TEPJF, se acordó un receso del 10º Congreso Nacional Ordinario para reanudarse en un lapso no mayor a 45 días naturales.

Yesterday was quite a busy day, I wasn't on last night until 10 pm! But that's not important.
It all began very early in the morning, when I heard a huge yelp from Cricket's cage. I leaped out of bed to see what was going on, but he seemed fine. When we woke up later, he was limping badly on his left leg.
So after school, we took him to the vet. We didn't want to have x-rays done, unless he's still limping on Monday. the vet gave us some pain medication, and we left.
Today he's doing better, but he's still limping. We're trying to keep him resting, but as you may know, it's not very easy. =)
After the vet, I was off to the high school with my band family to hang out with Marching Band to get the feel for it. It was tons of fun, and I got to meet the people I'll be playing with next year.
So I just wanted you all to know what's going on, and I'll keep you updated on little Cricket.

Building an enclosure for my Printrbot, the Schlabricator. The problem to solve is keeping printer at temperature in an unheated space. Another benefit will be to keep printer clean from dust and other contaminants. The plexiglass is off-the-shelf 18" x 24" panels from Home Depot, the rest of the hardware is 3DPrinted.
Half-assed plastic working. A line is scored in the plastic, and then a force is evenly applied along the score. If you do this quickly, evenly, and are of pure heart, you will get a smooth break. Leverage seems to work much better than trying to apply a sudden shock.
Thankfully, one gets used more than the other.
More practice using the TS-E 90mm. I didn't quite nail the plane of focus. But it's close. As much as I love my Peak Design travel tripod, I'm begining to see the utility of a more rigid tripod with a geared head. Making small adjustments to the lens tends to introduce movement in the tripod and ball head. I also think I want to get a spirit level.

Problem- 3 tab shingle one layer only- shingles not lined up properly when installed and exposure under tabs
Leak 6’ from bottom of roof- ½”-3/4” exposure of shingles tab and water touching wood -roof deck from snow and ice pushing up. Many rusted nails
Tarred under many tabs where the water touching wood.
Leak area areas patched under tabs but not a perm fix
Water was also pouring into tabs as he has plank decking not roof deck sheets or boards and water in cracks in every plank of wood.
Couldn’t pull up every tab and seal or would have been there all day
Perm fix:
Will need underlayment under shingles- will experience more leaks until roof is replaced based on condition and new roof is required asap and Spring is urgent
When replacement is done the roof wood planks need to be replaced with ¾” plywood for roof deck with underlayment and re shingled.
