Flickr has the hiccups. We're looking into the problem right now.

I have a problem with too much money. I can't reinvest it fast enough, and because I

reinvest it, more money comes in. Yes, the rich do get richer.

this bucket we also use for the Bulk of our special parts. It also doubles as a door block. Our door is broken and doesn't close, We would leave it open but our family's cats like to come into our room and wreak havoc on our lego collection (I've actually needed to replace peices they have chewed through) we can close our door from the outside, But if we do it from the inside we cant open it up again :P so at night we put this bucket in front of the door to keep it closed

This is something that has been on my mind recently that I thought could go well in my 365 Project

Sigh. Remember the other day I mentioned I had found some sensor dust on my D800. Well, today I got home, where I have the “industrial” size blower and I went to town on the sensor to clean it, and then my worst fears came true. It appears it’s not dust, it may be that sensor oil issue others have found from the manufacturing process (it’s believed the mirror or shutter action flings oil onto the sensor). So tomorrow I’ll have to take steps to get that oil off the sensor. Seems to be a common problem with Nikon’s pro SLRs so I’ll start with a Visible Dust wet cleaning kit rather than put my camera into Nikon’s service centre in Mississauga. Last time I did that with my D200 it took almost three months to get it back and I’ve got photos to take in the meantime.

The photo above is a composite from four images. I took the photos in sequence using the stop down and defocus technique for spotting sensor dust in between. I aimed the camera at my white drapes. Other than cropping out a 6 megapixel image out of the 36 megapixel sensor it’s unmodified from the camera. Yay.

Their gig previous to this was Glastonbury. This time they were on the tiny Radio Ulster (Bandstand) stage at Stendhal.

They describe themselves as "four-piece feminist queer punk band from Belfast". Great fun, energy and they sound great too and are great at banter with the crowd. I was looking forward to them at Stendhal and they didnt dissapoint! I love them!

comprised of Beverley Boal, Bethany Crooks, Ciara King and Alanah Smith. All 4 take a turn at lead vocals which somehow adds to the feel that they are really enjoying themselves and getting on well together.

This is the source of all our water problems. The burst watermain at Roughgrange is literally within a stone's throw of the water pumping station (in lower left of second photo). As you can see from these photos taken this morning, there is no work ongoing at the site while the Irish Water engineers await the manufacture of a part to try to effect a repair. Previous attempts have failed. As a result, many parts of Drogheda and the surrounding areas have been without water for days. And it now seems that we might not have water before Thursday at the earliest.

There's a simulated space capsule in the Museum of Science. Justin was very excited to get into it until he was actually in it.

Who knew LEGO could float in water so well? Lots of engineering problems were solved using teamwork whenever a vessel started to sink. They always found a way to make it float! We heard a child say, "We need to spread the weight around evenly so that one side doesn't sink." Great critical thinking! Created during LEGO Problem-Solving Apr. 26, 2014.

Here is another shot from the set that I worked over. Its main virtue is that you don't have the light gradient. You can still see the brown in the back a bit, but it will work.

Found word problem written by an elementary school student, with graphic illustration.

This is part of my test roll of photos that I shot using my pin-o-rama camera. These are non-standard medium format negatives and I've had trouble getting decent results using my CanoScan 4400F flat-bed scanner.

For this image, I scanned in color mode at 300 dpi. I taped the negative onto a light box for the scan. The image at this size looks ok, but if you view the larger sizes there are some obnoxious scan lines that dominate the image. I've tried a multipass scan and it makes the scan lines worse.

Once scanned, I had to invert the image in photoshop and then chop off the lower portion of the RGB histogram.
