I predict this photo will be almost as popular as my photo of a safe at the Boston Public Library. Jumeirah Essex House, New York City.
The long nature trail behind my work. This is where the wood fence ends and becomes a tall vinyl privacy fence, which you can also see on the other side of the path behind the subdivision.
I didn't have many opportunities to stop for photos and the cactus were amazing with their blooms in Texas. I decided at the windmill stop I just posted to catch a macro of the blooms on the cactus...I was surprised as this seemed to be the breeding ground for these beetles. I tried to find blooms with no mating couples, no such luck as love was in the air. Any idea what these beetles are? Near Hamilton, TX on HWY 281. A big thanks to Speech Path Girl for the ID of Kern's Flower Scarabs, Euphoria kernii.
7 Emporium, SL's humorous supplier of construction necessities. And yes, those are Little Branch birch trees.
Here are some pictures which show my privacy slats. I only have them about 3 feet up and I am not finished putting them on. I may not do any more until spring though unless it warms up again. They will help block snow and wind in addition to giving the cats places in which they will feel they can hide. I will only do sections of the tunnels and I believe I will put windows in the slats on the enclosure.
