Hi There!
It seems that I am on topics related to butterflies so it is only timely that I caught this Monarch ovipositing on milkweed yesterday morning! I was after this Monarch for at least a half an hour as it zoomed within the milkweeds at the edge of the pond. I didn't realize it was laying eggs until I saw this on the monitor.
I appreciate your time to view and comment on this image, THANK YOU! Have a happy day!

Or, "San FranGursky" Not sure which title I like best yet, but this is quickly becoming one of my favorite photos of my city.
US Immigration has published plans to force tourists to disclose very personal "high-value-data-fields" such as your social media history, all your phone numbers, all your email addresses, details of your relatives or family members - and all this for the last five or more years. If any such regulations were adopted, the US authorities would be free to use AI and trawl through all your digital records. We can leave open the question whether this is about, as they claim, the security of the US, or, as others say, about censorship, clear is that this would constitute a massive breach of your and my privacy and reveal a type of behaviour we know all too well from totalitarian regimes. No privacy, not even for this stork nesting on the town hall of Endingen, Germany. There is a camera watching his nest ...
There are several similarities between the scene on the left and the one on the right (in shapes).
Leica M8, Voigtlander CS 2.2/50. It's an ambiguous thing. Privacy means that you have your own story to tell, and that is not a selfish luxury but a necessity, the precondition of being a person. And, yet, one's own story is never really one's own story only. Our narrational privacy is punctured by the presence of others and of their stories. Even when hidden away in the back of our garden, our privacy is never total. We take the other actors of our story with us wherever we go.
IJdock appartments. The shape of the building looks like a rock, or a ship.

Walking through Barcelona’s famous sites, piercing through crowds of visitors from all world, it’s possible never see another Barcelona with very narrow streets and simple working people who lives and dies behind the walls of these probably never renovated buildings. Guess their life is not so easy, I almost sure they don’t know about Gaudi, but they are very good and always ready to help to stupid and very frustrated stranger with photocamera (means me). Even without any English they always try to help you find yourself in this enchanting city. As I said the streets are narrow, the buildings standing window to window and life of one family is open for all heighbours... But this people don’t have what to hide from the eyes of others... So... you can ask me, what about privacy... They do have it. It’s their own OPEN privacy.

Land can only be owned to the high tide mark. Other than that. beaches are open to the public although there is no guarantee of access.
Japanese beetles, an invasive species in North America, pose significant threats to agriculture and horticulture. Their larvae damage turfgrass roots, while adults feed on over 300 plant species, including crops and ornamental plants. This feeding behavior leads to substantial economic losses and necessitates increased pest management efforts.
I enjoy using my telephoto lens (55-250 mm) as a macro lens. It is old and broken but still doing its job.

Your thoughts, closed off

Just fascination, just fascination, just private fascination
Hide away in secrecy
You chop away this fantasy
This private fascination, this private, fascination
But if they knew, you'd shoot yourself
A beast, you'd shoot yourself
This private fascination
Just fascination, just fascination, just private fascination
Glances back, slip in the way, swift
You've found another way of
Slipping into your disguise
Your eyes know, your body lies
This fascination, this fascination

The Darckr Flickr Viewer is a webapp and a mashup based upon the flickr web rest apis.
Darckr allows to view Flickr content and helps in social life and picture management, by posting comments, or editing photo parameters.
For me, Darckr is an experimental platform to study the web2 languages.
Working is easier in beautiful surroundings...
Darckr uses ajax for continuous page preloading and streaming (here my own pictures sorted by interestingness according to Flickr), and the mootools javascript api.
The originality of Darckr is that the end user can freely customize his preferred viewing settings and save them on demand in cookies.
Ironically, this free software has become the mostly used of my programs ever, with more than 3000 thousand users of the full functionality,
several thousand pages viewed per day, and some 70000 api calls per day.
Still rising :-).
Darckr uses Ajax to interact with one's flickr account in ways not offered by the flickr web site itself.

Beautiful, intelligent eyes, but the child is the most unpleasent little girl in Ireland. It is placed just so and I saw there was nothing to be done in spite of my prayers and those of his parents. Now grown and will probably be a dentist or a lawyer.
