It seems that I am on topics related to butterflies so it is only timely that I caught this Monarch ovipositing on milkweed yesterday morning! I was after this Monarch for at least a half an hour as it zoomed within the milkweeds at the edge of the pond. I didn't realize it was laying eggs until I saw this on the monitor.

There are several similarities between the scene on the left and the one on the right (in shapes).
Leica M8, Voigtlander CS 2.2/50. It's an ambiguous thing. Privacy means that you have your own story to tell, and that is not a selfish luxury but a necessity, the precondition of being a person. And, yet, one's own story is never really one's own story only. Our narrational privacy is punctured by the presence of others and of their stories. Even when hidden away in the back of our garden, our privacy is never total. We take the other actors of our story with us wherever we go.

Walking through Barcelona’s famous sites, piercing through crowds of visitors from all world, it’s possible never see another Barcelona with very narrow streets and simple working people who lives and dies behind the walls of these probably never renovated buildings. Guess their life is not so easy, I almost sure they don’t know about Gaudi, but they are very good and always ready to help to stupid and very frustrated stranger with photocamera (means me). Even without any English they always try to help you find yourself in this enchanting city. As I said the streets are narrow, the buildings standing window to window and life of one family is open for all heighbours... But this people don’t have what to hide from the eyes of others... So... you can ask me, what about privacy... They do have it. It’s their own OPEN privacy.

Bellissima, occhi intelligenti ma è la bambina più antipatica d'Irlanda. Si è messa così appena mi ha visto e non c'è stato nulla da fare nonostante le mie suppliche e quelle dei suoi genitori. Adesso sarà cresciuta e probabilmente è una dentista o un avvocato.
Beautiful, intelligent eyes, but the child is the most unpleasent little girl in Ireland. It is placed just so and I saw there was nothing to be done in spite of my prayers and those of his parents. Now grown and will probably be a dentist or a lawyer.
The surreal reflections I occasionally find in shuttered shop windows amaze me again and again. Here, it's the too-short, creamy-white, and therefore reflective, view-blocking paper that "creates" the "bulwark" underneath, plus the pointy slit in the paper, that made my heart skip a beat.

Eva: I was about to ask you the same thing.
Bruno: I rarely know what's going on.
Agnes: I want to know why the door is closed.
Dave: Well, I was about to go the the bathroom.
Agnes: Well, you're actually in the bathroom.
Eva: Yeah, now that you've successfully entered the bathroom, why don't you open the door so we can join you?
Dave: Because I was hoping for some privacy.
Eva: Karen and the kids are downstairs so you can have privacy with just us.
Agnes: Yup just the four of us.
Bruno: Did you bring cake?
Dave: Bruno, I did not bring cake into the bathroom.
Bruno: That's almost as disappointing as you not wanting to spend time with us.
Dave: I'll be out soon. You guys can just wait.
Eva: Is there another exit in there?
Dave: There is a small window.
Agnes: That's not good. You might escape through it. I really think I should be in there with you.
Dave: Seriously, can I have 5 minutes in the bathroom?
Bruno, Eva and Agnes: Sure.
Dave: Thank you.
Eva: Now open the door. That 5 minutes includes us. You watch us poop, so we get to watch you poop. It was part of the adoption contract.

Sometimes I think there is no privacy when you have 3 dogs. Here they all are wanting to join me in the bathroom. This was admittedly a staged recreation of what happens when the bathroom door is only partly closed.

You might well remember this loving couple from last year, this is a pair of Orange Ladybirds I found at Colwick Woods on a wooden handrail. This is a different POV.
This was an ever so ambitious handheld focus stack of 34 images, as could be expected there was some movement (Mainly from the one on top), but I managed to edit around it. I used an F/6.3 aperture, ISO 400 and a 1/160 shutter speed, a diffused flash was also used as this was in the middle of woodland.
