Here are the finished 'red' prints. The registration between the two colours is a loose but that is to be expected when manually printing an image with tight registration. Won't be so tight on the next prints I design...
So printed my posters this weekend with some help from Mr Waste!
really happy with the outcome, printed them of GFSmith Colourplan, Natural, 175 GSM
edition of 50, 25 each colour. Navy and maroon.

Ever wondered how fishermen recorded the size and species of their catches before the invention of photography?
The old Japanese printing technique of Gyotaku or ‘fish rubbing’ provided a solution. This session was led by artists Eleanor Morgan and Sam Curtis of the Centre for Innovative and Radical Fishmongery.
This event was part of the Grant Musuem's current exhibition called Glass Delusions.
In this exhibition of prints, drawings, videos and objects, Artist in Residence Eleanor Morgan explores the slippery boundary between living and non-living materials. Her work is inspired by the Grant Museum's collection of intricate glass sponges – animals that naturally build themselves out of glass – they are formed of 90% silica.
The on-campus newspaper printing press. The best thing about these monsters is that if the paper breaks (which it did often the night I was there), the printers have to spend 5 minutes re-threading the paper and praying it doesn't snap again.

Warren G. Harding, 29th Presidents, from Marion Ohio, owned and operated the Marion Star for several years. As a newspaper man, Harding would have used movalbe type to put out issues of the newspaper. Movalbe type was used to layout and print papers before the use of more sophisticated printing technology.
