Found in a corner of the British Library. This is a working press, copied from an 18th century example, but it would (according to the sign on the wall) have been very similar to the one used in 1454 by Europe's first printer: Johannes Gutenberg. It is modelled on the press used by American printer and politician Benjamin Franklin.
As the printing press marked the shift from individual written copies of documents to potentially thousands of identical copies, I figured this might fit the 52 in 2015 theme #37 repetition
These are the shirts I made for my son, husband, and dad on father's day. So cute, since my son's nickname is "Little Dude". The designs are my own. I printed them by hand using instructions from Lena Corwin's book "Printing by Hand" (awesome book!) for freezer paper stenciling, and used T-shirts purchased at Bella.com (very nice quality & soft). I had a total blast!

The mark of the company differs, and the width of the well-known Rouse Job Stick is 2″ or 1 1/8″, but this is 2 1/4″.

OK. So Tim’s happy and we’re getting on a roll – quite literally! The file’s sent to a hotfolder for the right printer (we have lots of printers of all shapes and sizes, each with it’s own unique capability). If it’s a small print, it will come out of the Polli Electronica – a laser printer with the same colour and capability as the Lambda. If it’s a colour or black and white biggie it will go on the Lambda and the colour superbiggies go on the Lightjet. And of course the inkjet prints come out of the Epson. Tim’s keeping fit running all over the place for this part!
