"A painting starts with painting itself and not the idea." says Julia Benz sympathetic and tells of her work just as vigorously as she paints large, colorful and loud it should be, sometimes representational, often abstract. Her characters are neither moral nor practical instances imaging carriers of messages, but fun picture ideas.

"Today, when we are traveling, we are all overwhelmed by fake realities. I find the simple moments exciting and deep. I direct the banal big and loud, because it's wonderful." She explains. Julia Benz has studied painting at the university of art in Düsseldorf, currently working and studying in Berlin.

In the field of bioprinting, 3D printing opportunities have been slowly gaining momentum, even if it still seems so much like science-fiction coming true. Much of this field where internal organs are printed have yet to save any lives, though tests have already been done on printing organs like kidneys and even ear tissue. News is out, though, that 3D printers could even print self-created organs for implanting to generate electricity internally for heart or other organ issues.

Locksmith and watchmaker Johann Heinrich Hyttemeier was born in Bremen in 1804. In 1826 he moved to Copenhagen, where he established a Locksmith Workshop in 1831. Riddles Court is the original locatiion of Pillans and Wilson. This printing firm is one of the oldest printing firms in Edinburgh. James Pillans, an apprentice of William Smellie, opened his own shop in Riddle's Court around 1775. While there his son Hugh entered the firm as a partner and the firm became J. Pillans & Son. A separate printing firm had been run by his other son John, but these two firms merged in 1827 when they became H & J Pillans. Soon after this the firm moved to James's Court. When this building was destroyed in 1857 the brothers re-established their business at another address in James's Court when they remained until 1877 when they moved to Thistle Street. In 1886 the firm became H & J Pillans and Wilson with the appointment of Mr W Scott Wilson as a major partner. The firm moved to another address in Thistle Street where they remained until 1919 when they moved to Newington. The firm was bought by Colorgraphic (An English based firm) in 1987 and is now part of the Ormolu Group with a base in Leith Walk in Edinburgh

Further Notes: Prior to the Digital Age, newspapers, books, posters, tickets, forms, and all other types of printed-paper were produced with a printing press. To form the words, moveable type was used and print blocks would be used along side to add images or decorations around the text. A print block is also known as a letterpress cut or a printing die.
