Been umming and erring about which photo to pick today, but think this was probably the coolest thing I saw today at dev8d - a printer that can 'print' objects from plastic.
See dev8d.jiscinvolve.org/2010/02/25/reprap-the-self-replicat... for more info
I'm way behind on commenting and replying to comment - I'll do a big catch-up at the weekend.
What a child's photo looks like when you print on the wrong side of the paper. More like pilot error, I guess. :-/
Yup, I just had to have them. Separately. Sometimes I bring the scanner with me when I need to scan a lot of documents for work. As a journalist, I work with lots of documents that are yet to be digitized. The beauty of using Linux is that old hardware can still work perfectly. Plug and play. Epson printer (can't see what model) that has a continuous ink tank and next to it is a Canon CanoScan Lide 25. I have to tame the wires at the back.
Stop by the bio core tomorrow after the noon time commencement ceremony and checkout the 3D printer in action.
Last week I took my printer apart to clean the mirrors. This picture was so I would remember how to put it back together. I think it looks really cool inside of that thing there.
This managed to take all of yesterday to do, (mainly because I was trying to get a texture that complimented it)
This is what would happen if a printer got shot!! lol
Feedback/crit is always welcome!!
All done in Illustrator plus one free texture
