This is the rest of my desk. I put my burea next to my desk so I've got a really long desk. The things on the pipes are stuff I own that didn't have a good place to go. Also pictured here is the milk crate bookcase I made at the suggestion of Eleanor. Thank you Eleanor - it's worked out wonderfully.

Simon loves the printer. As soon as it starts up he's right next to it.
Tonight he even decided to sleep on it!
My old desk was too small for a printer. well, the new desk would fit one if I really wanted it too . . . but anyway, that's several months after this photo was taken.

Remark: Black Bear, Idaho, was a mining community located in Shoshone County, Idaho. It was one of a string of silver mining communities located within two miles of one another along Canyon Creek. To the southeast were the communities of Frisco and Gem, while the communities of Cornwall, Mace, and Burke were located to the northeast.
The community was named after the Black Bear Mine, which was established on May 4, 1884, by John Bartlett and W. S. Haskins. R. C. Vanderford would later purchase an interest in this mine.
On August 19, 1891, a disastrous accident took place at the Black Bear Mine when two tons of powder exploded at the mouth of the mine tunnel. The tunnel caved in a distance of fifty feet. G. M. Neil, the mine's general manager, Will Janse, the mine's assistant manager, and miners Robert Blackburn and Alex Barron were working in the tunnel at the time of the explosion, and suffocated to death before they could be rescued.
Idaho State Highway 4 now traverses through these valley communities.
