Taken in 1981. His last fabricated piece before he died.

One of the printmaking classes I was in had an assignment where you used multiple printmaking techniques to make a series of self-portraits. I think I used the theme of "artists that influenced me". This is Kid Koala.

 

Circa 2003, I think.

 

I make stuff. A lot of stuff. And I always have. As we're moving, I am culling out the things that stuck around because I was once fond of them. Broken, crappy or useless, I didn't throw them away.

 

I'm taking a snap of each before they get scrapped. Bonus is that you can kind of sense where I started with sculpting and things.

A project where my design and someone else's design was paired up to form one piece. The class decided on which designs paired up the best. My design is the lower one, and it was paired up with the top design, as they are almost a complete contrast of one another.

The Circle Art Activity at Highpoint

6 – 8:30 p.m.

 

The Circle members toured Highpoint Center for Printmaking's new facility. Designed by James Dayton Design, the new Highpoint home opened in Uptown in June 2009. They learned about various printmaking processes and made their own prints!
