Principles of art/photography assignment prompt

Definition: Focusing a certain subject that contrasts with the background of a photograph.

This photograph portrays emphasis because of the colour contrast between the bright red of the EXIT sign and the dark tones of the background. The viewer immediately focuses their view on the EXIT sign because of its immense presence in the foreground and the colour contrast.

A photo taken using a 4S and the Camera+ app.

When creating an animation there are twelve vital principles to create something which looks professional. Each was extremely important and something I had considered carefully when creating my animation. Such as the squash and stretch principal, my character was a human being and I needed to make him look organic, so when my character did things such as move I had to keep the squash and stretch in mind so I could make it seem like my character had some weight behind it. This was extremely important along with the other principal I had to think about which anticipation was. I had to make it seem obvious that my character was about to do certain moves in each frame so I had to make sure my joints and timing was equally balanced. This also fit in with the timing principal. I had to also think heavily about the staging for my character to be in a position that I would both be apparent to the audience and display its surrounding, to further shows its purpose. The remaining principals which are exaggeration, slow in and out, arcs, secondary action, solid drawing, appeal, follow through and straight ahead action pose, were still involved in my animation but to a lesser extent.

The Elements and Principles of design that I used were Line, Shape, Value, Form, Color, Texture, Space, Contrast, Unity, and Movement. I used the line between the texts. Shape was used in everything of this picture like the form, color and the space. I used the value in the different kinds of whites and the texture is in the snow. This picture has unity and the movement you can see in the skier how fall to the hell.

I used gradient in the hell and the dragon, but in the God I used the eraser. In the text I used a blue stroke and with the dragon I used a filters. I used the Rule of Thirds. Finally, with the skier I used the gradient and the levels.

Over 18 years we have been guided by these 12 principles to design over 35 learning modules for secondary STEM students.

DIAL created a new suite of tools and resource documents to help digital development practitioners better utilize the Principles for Digital Development in their work.

These include:

• Digital Principles 101 training course

• Program and grant proposal evaluation matrix (""Maturity Matrix"") • Principles x SDG Framework

• Quick reference one-pagers for project management

• Self-study guides on relevant and emergent digital development topics

At ICT4D 2019, DIAL hosted a workshop where participants had the opportunity to engage with these new tools and learn how they can be applied directly to their work. They also received training on how to share the Digital Principles with colleagues and associates and learned how to better incorporate the Digital Principles into their organization’s processes for more effective program management.

The Principles of Wing Chun Kung Fu are a set of five principles that include economy of motion, center-line, facing the point of contact, simplicity, the center line, and forward intention. Adherence to these principles results in natural, free, and relaxed body movements.

K Wiring Principles | Rex Ortho Hospital

The team of highly experienced orthopedic doctors in Rex Hospital treats fractures, particularly in orthopedic and hand surgery by using the K Wiring Principles. These principles are a general guideline for using K-wires in fracture management. The specifics can vary depending on the type and location of the fracture, as well as individual patient factors. The K Wiring Principles follows a set of fundamental procedures, it all begins with a thorough assessment of the fracture via preliminary imaging, such as X-rays, which provides a precise diagnosis and guides the surgical approach. Sterile technique is imperative throughout the procedure to minimize the risk of infection. Local or regional anesthesia is typically administered to ensure patient comfort. The selection of an appropriate K-wire size and length is crucial, taking into consideration the patient's age, body size, and the specific bone involved. K Wiring Principles are showcased in the book “Principles of K-Wiring” written by our Rex Hospital Professor and Head of the Department of Orthopaedics Dr. C. Rex.
