this shows pattern because the blocks go dark light dark light dark light....

Definition: A sense of sameness within a photograph that does not distract the viewer's eye with any outstanding visual weight.

This photograph portrays unity by utilizing leading lines that bring the different subjects, those being the railing of the staircase and the windows, of the photo to similarly "move" upwards.

+ I like the contrasting of living and man-made, the plant and the vase. Also how the colors are the same.

- I don't like the glare created by the sun in the middle of the photo. Also could be better focused

I chose this picture for my Element of Design for Movement because, the dog in the picture looks like he is running and they captured a picture of him.

Principles of Design: There's movement from the basket it move your eyes around the basket and also towards the lime, there's also contrast in this picture because there's light coming from the left side from the picture and towards the right it's more dark and in the picture the basket shows a pattern.

Elements of Art: There is line from the basket and there texture from the broom and the fuzzy thing on the other side and color from the lime.

The mans face shows symmetry and balance. I like that even though one side is clearly darker then the other side it still is balanced very well.

I took this image from a book about Frank Miller's art in the movie Sin City.
