The trees displayed an interesting material around the edge of my photo so I thought it worked well as using the edge.

Moritz
Photo #4
Objective 3: Elements and Principles of Design
Line: The curved lines on his hat give a sense of rhythm. Curved line helps our eyes to move through this photo. The lines of his bunched up sleeve on the left show a pattern.
Emphasis: The completely black curtains in the background emphasize all the colours that Moritz is wearing, blue, green, red.
Objective 4: Lighting
This photo was taken with very little lighting so I had to use the flash.
Objective 5: Post Production
I increased the contrast to make the background completely black. I also removed the paint that was on his shirt and removed the red eyes that he had. I also resized.
Objective 6: Critique
When retaking this photo I would try a different style of lighting. I would also fix his shirt so that it was not bunched up on one side.
Objective 7: Photographic Styles

This photo didn't come out the way I wanted to once I first looked at it. In Photoshop I fixed the curves and hue, and it came out much better.

The colors in this photo are all neutral tones which fit very well together. Another sign of unity is the smooth edge of the glass with the glossy floor. Both color and texture exist in harmony in this photo.
