Missouri City Council members have approved amendments to the City's Architectural Design Standards in the Zoning Ordinance.
Maintaining strong development principles set in Missouri City's 2009 Comprehensive Plan; Council members have approved amendments to the City's Architectural Design Standards in the Zoning Ordinance.
After receiving feedback from business partners and holding several public hearings on the issues, City Council gave final approval at its July 18 meeting for the following improvements that will provide additional creative options to businesses:
*Expansion of the list of primary materials allowed on structures-brick and stone-to include architectural masonry units, which are concrete products.
*Use of business identity colors for exterior designs; and the incorporation of business identity colors on awnings and bollards.
*Requirement for uniformity of awnings within an integrated business development or shopping center; all awnings will need to be uniform in shape, material, color and design.
Architectural design proposals for new construction and redevelopment will continue to be reviewed within the City's 10-business day building permit review period.
The "Show Me" City is respected state- and nationwide for its adherence to superior codes and maintaining ordinances and regulations aimed at premium development requirements. For this commitment to public spaces such as roadways, parks and open expanses, the City earned a bronze designation from the Scenic City Certification Program. Scenic City, a project started in 2010 to combine a comprehensive set of model standards into one program, awarded inaugural certificates to 14 cities, including Missouri City.
"The visual appearance of our community is a priority with residents, City officials and local businesses," said Director of Development Services Gary Smith. "In keeping with our high standards, we regularly examine our development requirements to assure they produce the aesthetics our citizens and businesses expect."

Sai Baba of Shirdi #SBoS says the same in Chapters 18~19 of the Shri Sai Satcharita;

Shri Hari (God) will be certainly pleased, if you give water to the thirsty, bread to the hungry, clothes to the naked, and your verandah to strangers for sitting and resting. Asian artists are known for only giving you a piece of the picture. interacting with the audience so the audience can make up the rest of the image in their minds. like here only part of the picture has been painted but you can what is implied.
Together, horse expert, Jane Myers of Equiculture, and local ecologist, Alison Elvin of Natural Capital, show how the principles can be applied to manage pasture to improve animal health while manitingin a helathy environment.
I chose this image for Principles of Design for Unity because the things in this image complete the each other.
The 12 principles of animation originate from Disney and there is no animation to be found that not utilize at least some of them. They are the building blocks of a solid animation, simple instructions on how to best make your animations.
1. Squash and Stretch, helps show f.ex. speed or weight distribution. Important to remember is that the mass of the stays the same throughout the animation.
2. Anticipation, foreshadows what is about to happen such as bringing back ones fist for a swing.
3. Staging, is about how to show the most of a scene without missing anything important.
4. Straight Ahead Action and Pose to Pose, two different ways of animating. Doing it frame by frame or first striking up the poses and then filling in the in-between respectively.
5. Follow Through and Overlapping Action, following the natural order of of movement and its consequences.
6. Slow In and Slow Out, adding the natural progression of acceleration.
7. Arcs, adding the arcing of movement adds to realism.
8. Secondary Action, it is often not only one thing moving at any one time, adding movement to other things adds to realism.
9. Timing, of object movement helps bring the scene together and adds meaning to it.
10. Exaggeration, helps getting the point across.
11. Solid Drawing, helps bring up the quality of the animation making every pause a piece of art.
12. Appeal, everything in the animation should have a sense of appeal, at least to the extent that it does not stand out, drawing the attention from what is important.
