Objective 3: Elements and Principles of Design

2. Perspective and depth: The different shapes and sizes of the logs coming out gives a sort of 3D look and gives the photo depth. also the shadow between the log piles boldly seperates thetwo, givingit a unique depth on each side.

3. Fill the Frame: The frame is completely filled with the same subject.

5. Leading Lines: this photo shows leading lines by moving the viewers eyes from the pile on the left that is horizontal to the pile on the right.

6. Pattern: The logs are repetitive, therefore creating a pattern.

7. Texture: there is a lot of texture in the white bark as well as the rings in the wood. the different textures of the wood add different aspects and interest to the photo allowing your eye to smoothly wonder photo

8. Space to move: the space in this photo is nicely take up by the subject. there is no space to move.

9. Colour: the photo was given a sephia look which enhances the photos original look. because of the difference in colour between the moss and the bark it creates contrast within the photo.

10. Use Diagonals: the space between the piles of wood creates a diagonal and/or a split of the picture as an illusion.

12. Balance: the photo is well balanced because there is equal amounts of the subject. the photo is well balanced because it isnt busy with numerous subjects it is only busy with one.

Objective 4: Lighting

This photo demontrates side lighting, all the ends of the logs are brighter than the bark. the lighting within the logs gives the photo natural contrast.

Objective 5: Post-Production

hugh/ colour adjustment, slight brightness increase, slight increase of contrast, sharpened, decrease saturation, increase vibrancy.

Objective 6: Critiquing

strenghts: i like how i gave the photo a very sephia tone look, i like the exposure and the contrast, i like how i filled the frame and got the two different angles of logs.

Weekly teaching of Principles based on the Ten Commandments in Réunion Island Indian Ocean

Words move me to action as much as or more than pictures. I'm taking Deena Morton's Four Principles Webinar, and I'm working on achieving a goal using them. This is my reminder poster to myself in the room where I work. Deena Morton's '4 Principles'= Clear Goal, Others Focused, Gratitude, Unwavering Faith ' are across the top. Under each principle are related quotes that challenge me in that principle. (from collection coming largely from Bob and Brian Proctor's Insight of the Day list) ....And the stickies are important-to-me-for-taking-action quotes- things she's said- to remember about each of the 4 principles from Deena's webinar series talks.

The four cabalistic principles in the Book 'Zohar'. This book, written in Spain at the time of Raymond Lull, around 1280/90, is the main text of the Cabala.

1. The principle of this photo is Symmetrical Balance.

2. Them most visually striking aspect in this photo is the lockers off to the sides.

Design principles could create flexibility in the design, but still offer guidelines for future developments

Seismic survey is a kind of geophysical survey that target the measuring of earth's properties with the help of physical principles such as magnetic, electric, gravitational, thermal, and elastic theories. Seismic surveys are commonly used for discovering new oil and gas fields. Land seismic surveys require tremendous amount of equipment and workforce. They also depend heavily on the surface terrain, i.e. land use and land cover, relief and presence of man-made features such as build-up areas, roads, bridges etc. Now here comes the geospatial technology in frame. Satellite imageries are used for land use / land cover analysis and has their significance in the study of terrain relief. High resolution satellite imageries are used to locate the natural features, which is important during the seismic survey. For example, type of vegetation like forest cover, paddy fields, coconut gardens, mangroves, swampy areas, inaccessible water bodies etc can be recognized. These will help in type of equipment to be deployed for each of the various survey activities. Other spatial datasets like DGPS control points, Digital Terrain Model (DTM), road network and water bodies are essential inputs for seismic survey.
