SCOUT: "Hullo everyone! Look! Look at me! I'm a pretty princess with a purple crown! When I saw these pretty purple rhinestone pegs on Daddy’s desk, I was determined to get my paws on them! They make great accessories for dress-ups. Look! I made a crown!" *Preens.* "Do you think I look pretty? I do!" *Preens more.* "Who wants to play princesses with me?"
The theme for "Smile on Saturday" on the 23rd of March is "clothes pegs". If you follow my photostream, you will be familiar with Paddy (my Paddington Bear whom I have had since I was two years old) and his friend Scout, as they often feature in stories and adventures on Happy Teddy Bear Tuesday and sometimes other days of the week, such as this photo for today’s theme. This is Scout, and Scout likes getting dressed up and playing make believe, especially in furs and as a member of royalty! He is very ingenious and resourceful, as is demonstrated by the crown he is wearing, which he has created using some rhinestone covered purple clothes pegs that formerly were mine, but now are undoubtedly his, and a lilac satin ribbon. I hope you like my choice of the theme this week, and that it makes you smile.
Scout was a gift to Paddy from my friend. He is a Fair Trade Bear hand knitted in Africa. His name comes from the shop my friend found him in: Scout House. He tells me that life was very different where he came from, and Paddy is helping introduce him to many new experiences. Scout catches on quickly, and has proven to be a cheeky, but very lovable member of our closely knit family.

When we bought a couple of new scarecrows we let the Princess pick one out. She chose this cutie which is about the same height as her. Just a simple happy shot :-)

Big South Fork NRRA
Yamacraw, KY
A very finicky waterfall in the Big South Fork. This is different every time one visits it, more so than any other falls I know of in Kentucky. I also found out how great of a wildflower hike this is in the spring, sort of. I was about a week late for the peak, but I still saw Yellow, Southern Red, and Southern erect Trillium, Geraniums, Dwarf Crested Iris, Cream Violets, just to name a few species.
Former LMS 4-6-2 Princess class 6201 (46201) pictured passing Fairwood Junction as the sunsets on a glorious day. The locomotive was hauling the return leg of the Cathedrals express which was her first tour since her overhaul.

a very quick set up, using window light to the right. I used my 85 here and was pressed up against a wall in a very small room, barely able to get her entire little body, in fact, i had to be on my tip toes for this angle. Our time was limited, the baby really only slept like this for a few minutes, they really know what they are talking about when they say shoot newborns between 7-11 days, because after that, they wake up too easily~ I had my SB900 mounted and diffused. She is about 5-6 weeks old~

Description: Here is another shot from Wednesday afternoon’s (Earth Day) sunset photoshoot with Andre, John, Joy, Jolene and Jenny.
Although I found it quite difficult to point my camera in any direction other than towards the source of all that glorious light... I did manage to capture a couple of compositions which didn’t include the sun.
Estelle will probably kill me when she sees this photograph... she hates it when I call her Princess Alex (her middle name is Alexia)!! :)

There was 2 cruise ship coming this day to La Baie, so I had set up my alarm early enough to drive, hike and shoot sunrise vs ships BUT....I snooze 2 times, I was too tired, do not really matter...the ships did not stay long since there was stron winds, I did not set my tripod because it was so strong it would have blown away camere with tripod, I felt I was lifted 2-3 time by the wind gust.
It was really nice being out there looking at this view, who car about the wind....Ruby Princess
Hebridean Islands Cruises mv Hebridean Princess anchored in Tobermory Harbour during a heavy shower.
The Gooderham Fountain graced this site from 1911, and was a well-known landmark and meeting place on the grounds. It was named for George H. Gooderham, President of the CNE Association from 1909 to 1911. H.R.H. The Princess Margaret officially opened the current fountain in 1958, which remains a focal point of the western end of the grounds.
