I look like this every night after work...I can not wait to get into my flannel pants and sweatshirt..hair up...RELAX!!!
My son Max thought I was really wierd taking pictures of myself...so I uploaded them all just to irritate him!

Mute swans have just finished primping themselves and are settling in for a snooze at Esquimalt Lagoon, near Victoria BC Canada. The mute swan (Cygnus olor) is a species of swan, and thus a member of the waterfowl family Anatidae. It is native to much of Europe and Asia, and (as a rare winter visitor) the far north of Africa. It is also an introduced species in North America, Australasia and southern Africa. The name 'mute' derives from it being less vocal than other swan species. Measuring 125 to 170 cm (49 to 67 in) in length, this large swan is wholly white in plumage with an orange bill bordered with black. It is recognisable by its pronounced knob atop the bill.

New Girl is looking through our notebooks of petite clothes this morning, looking for something to wear. I think it might be a bit overwhelming!
The girls continue to primp and preen and get ready for their night out. Black Tie has a fondness for makeup.
I have bought several potted herbs. Thyme is my favorite herb.
Herb has become my signature in my food.

Santa combs his beard just before a Windsor Jewelers Christmas in July commercial-shoot at a local Augusta home November 1, 2007. The commercial will run next summer.
North Augustan Art Usher twilights as Santa Claus. He claims that Santa's vacation home is in North Augusta. He has been putting on the red suit since 1986. He loves his winter job. "I don't have to say anything and I make people happy. It's an awesome power to make people happy," he said.

A pelican dries its feathers after leaving the water. Another pelican image from the Dulac area. This day was very cloudy and not much light but at least there were no harsh shadows. Thanks again, Darlene! Beautiful bird! Best viewed large. Kind of a strange position but I liked the detail in the feathers.

This shot has been in my mind for months, ever since I bought the bird, hollowed the eggs and hunted down the right model and a suitably skilled hair/makeup artist to do it justice....and it was SO worth the wait.
Thanks to Inma for an absolutely incredible hair job and Amy for being a great model...the admirable patience she had sitting there for over 2 hours while we crimped primped and backcombed the life out of her just to get a few shots...not complaining once.
