This Bald Eagle is fluffing her wings in the afternoon sun. When I first saw her she wasn’t alone, if you get my drift. By the time I had switched lenses, he was gone. I switched that lens really quickly too. Maybe she was not impressed either. So here is a picture of a disappointed female Eagle.
I have some closeups I may post later, but I loved my tall maiden grass bokeh background with the Kingfisher. I did not set the aperture low because I wanted to catch it if she dived which sadly she did not. I was sitting on my dock and she stayed on that limb right beside me for over an hour. She is just now getting to where she will stay when I am there. She is jumpy.. That is a preening feather in her beak. She was primping a lot.

A whimsical image this morning folks taken at the Infusion Center.
I asked this guy what he was doing and he said Da what does it look like, I just washed my car, cleaned the windsheild and am now preening my self before I pick up my date, I should have known, after cleaning his car, and primping himself what else could it have been, but for a women.
Thanks for putting up with me and my sillyness, living in a fantasy world is not that bad.

On my first birding trip to Florida six years ago, the first picture I took was of an Anhinga. So, I thought it would be appropriate to post this Anhinga for this year's first picture.
This grooming Anhinga was seen at J.R."Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge. It's amazing to me how the long-necked birds are able to twist their necks into contorted positions.

Yes, I could have primped up this shot in post production, but the CCD "filmic" look is appealing, but let's be honest -- It's not film !!!
I was reminded of the ballet as I watched this Great Egret cross its legs and proceed to primp and preen its feathers. It was quite a show and would make any Diva proud!
