Another week without entering the weekly theme, but I have a good excuse in this little lady...
I have been enjoying my 40 hours paternity (thats 4 days for us shift workers!) and you would think with a bit of extra time off I would have more time to get on with 'stuff'...
.. no such luck!
That said I wouldn't have it any other way.
Sorry for my absence lately! I was away, but I'm back and getting back into things now. Also: Rose's birthday has now officially happened. Wish Rose a happy 15th!
Finally complete. My quilt made with the help of members from the Pretty in Pink Bee. All ready to be given to its new 6 year old owner!
I got excited the other day when I saw these beautiful pink cherry blossom trees blooming like crazy at a nearby park. We are about to get snow today so I hope they stay looking just as beautiful :)

The peonies were so beautiful this year with all the rain. They did not seem to last long but they were looking good while they were here. Sorry I have have been missing for a while. Battling with data overage with Verizon month to month has been a pain. Finally found the program in the background that has been eating up our data for months.....

“Color! What a deep and mysterious language, the language of dreams.”

This dealer is some New York fellow, with a name like Mike Mazzola. At some point he tells me who he is, and where he sets up in New York. If you buy vernacular photos in New York, you probably know him. I'm not saying he's a bad guy; he's just a New York guy.
Whilst waiting for the weather to change and get out in the garden I am tending to my Geraniums, tucked up in our new porch who seem to be flourishing. Still getting to grips with macro but still I love colours of the petals in this image.

Daisies are pretty flowers (or weeds!) when fully open, but that's only half the story. At the start or end of the day when they are only partly open (or partly closed!) they give a different display of beauty.
The underside of the petals on these daisies are a gorgeous deep pink colour, but it's only when they are partly open that the true colour is revealed!
Felicia woke up sweating. Her heart raced and she had trouble breathing. This nightmare was the worst yet. Absolutely horrible.
In her dream, she was a musical actress. And as if this was not enough, she was apparently in the process of studying for the lead role in a musical based on a John Hughes movie. And, also apparently, she seemed to like it.
"This calls for a double shot", she thought.
Four fingers of Laphroaig later, sleep finally found her again. And this time, her imagination went the right way. She was still an actress, but this time it was the female lead in Machete 2. Now that is a movie worth dreaming about!
