Magnolia, real close to our home. Not much travels going on in the world at this time, so it us a good time to share our flora and fauna in our surroundings.
The Magnolia, the lovely and beautiful spring blossomed flowers are found in many gardens in the Netherlands. Enjoy spring!
I saw this bright flower growing on a low bush along a path at Sir Harold Hillier Gardens. I like the way some veins in its leaf are also pink. I have not seen the flower before.
Please say if you can name it for me.

.... the geraniums that I keep in pots in the porch begin to open as white petals, but then they turn a gentle pink, and finally a deep pink. These few flowers are at various stages of opening out. There's a link to the porch full of geraniums in the first comment field

This building in downtown Beardstown, Illinois was completed in 1889 as a clubhouse for the Beardstown Lodge of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. In recent years it has housed an antique mall. Glad to see this old-timer survive into the 21st century, but I'm not quite sold on the color.
