Had a great time at the Sydney Comic con and Cosplay festival at Olympic Park. Such elaborate costumes, makeup and great photo opportunity!
I'd like to have titled this "Sun Sets on Winter" but it was -20C (0F) last night so it just does not feel right. Either way, that wheelbarrow at the bottom of this shot is ready and waiting for me to dive into the garden at the first opportunity!

I dug this up out of my pile of stuff to scan & put it up in honor of the late great John Hughes, who directed Molly back in the 80s in some of my all-time favorite movies.

John and I met up with fellow photographer friends Ryan & Kimmy @ his studio in Mellwood Art Center for some portrait fun. While Ryan and John took turns playing with Ryans studio light setup, I took advantage of a few shots with my SB-600 + Lumiquest Softbox III =)

Medinilla magnifica on Ilford multigrade FB warmtone paper and exposed under the Philippine sun. Habitat/ecology: Rain forest epiphyte. In its native habitat in the Philippines, "in lowland dipterocarp forests between 300-500 m, in lower montane forests at 400-1000 m, or in cloud belt mossy forests up to 1400 m altitude" (Regalado, 1995; p. 133).

Taken on a road trip to NY...it was a beautiful autumn day, and I was surprised to see all the bees a buzzin! Pretty in the lightbox.
This dead tree had its branches stripped of it's bark and was then painted pink to promote an Art festival in the nearby village. It is a bit marmite, you either love it or hate it but it has provoked debate.
Taken on Fuji X10 hanging out of a Landrover window to get enough height to see over a wall.

I was certainly noticed (and complimented) on my outfit, that's for sure.
Now, I just need to work on the hair a little bit more, and, of course, get some shoes with better support - Heels are nice, but cheap ones definitely show when it comes to how my feet feel. ^_^;
(sheath dress and matching jacket by Jones Studio Separates for Dress Barn - It took me weeks to find the matching dress. ^_^; )
I had the opportunity to head up to Toowoomba this past week and took time out to photograph all the gorgeous blooms in Queens Park ahead of their Carnival of Flowers. they were absolutely stunning.
