Photographed while out on a bicycle ride during lockdown. If I had driven passed I would have missed it.
ON EBAY SOON!
This is my Molly Ringwald doll I created from the classic movie, Pretty in pink! I recast a doll head that had similar facial features in lighter plastic, gave her new hair, sewed her 2 outfits from the movie, repainted her facial features, and gave her a new body. What do you think?
Like Totally Awesomely Fun Baby Shower for my old friend, Kacie.
See, Kacie and I became friends in the 7th grade. Apparently she was too cool for me when she transferred into our 6th grade class. We were full-on children of the 80s and have the bad hair photos to prove it.
Kacie LOVED the movie "Pretty in Pink." When I say "love" I mean L-O-V-E-D. As in, saw it at the theater every day for solid week and then about 957 times after that.
So, naturally, when I found out she was having a girl and several other old Jr. High friends could attend the shower, it was a no-brainer to me to try and combine all those things into one sophisticated yet fun 80s baby shower. I know. 80s? Sophisticated? You're thinking oxymoron, too, eh?
Get your oversized glasses with the gold initial stickers in the corner on and take a gander at these. Just make sure you take that huge comb out of your back pocket before you sit on it.
The cast of Pretty in Pink (l-r Andrew McCarthy, Molly Ringwald, Jon Cryer) written by John Hughes, on an Etch-a-Sketch.
Photog note: I've been going through and uploading some past photos; some were posted previously here at Flickr and others that were parts of a set that for whatever reason, were passed by. The difference is that now I'm using an improved editing workflow and software that's allowed for significant improvements over what I'd been working with previously, ones that help to render more color-accurate and contrast corrected images (ones captured with the 20D). My new 5D's far easier to work with IMO with minimal if not any image editing required in a majority of instances. I'm looking forward to getting to those 2012/13 photos in the not too distant future... oh what fun!

Ya the vet told me that once a Royal Poodle had a battle in Hell and then rewarded in Even they usually turn Pink and Glow in the dark
;o).
I will take a Flickr brake , I have a week of dishes to do , my Laundry , groceries to go get , take a freaking shower before I fall apart , stop calling every body on the planet and definitily start calming down and stop being so paranoid when Holly sleeps and don't move or sleep , moves and wake me up .
It reminds me when you have a new born baby at the house for the 1st week , your own sleep just goes out the window .
Holly has to be groom very soon , she looks like she had more than enough of her polar bear coat , so I wont be posting until she does
I have a lot of thank yous to do , but I have to clean my desk , it looks like a war zone , full of notes and cigarette ashes
We will be back in a few days , I have to get my head back to normal ;o)
The Pink is Photoshopped;o)
She is rich, she is a snob, she is dumb, and worst of all she is fake. But the boys still want to be close to Paris Eggton.
Part of my Eggistentialism Set. My mostly silly quest to become the world's greatest eggtographer

A somewhat rare, pink-colored Desert Globemallow. These are usually bright orange (see photo below), but there are some scattered populations with pink or white flowers. - Ironwood Forest National Monument, Arizona

They are insects with a scientific name - Apis mellifera.
A honey bee can fly for up to six miles, and as fast as 15 miles per hour, hence it would have to fly around 90,000 miles - three times around the globe - to make one pound of honey.
The queen bee lives for about 2-3 years and is the only bee that lays eggs. She is the busiest in the summer months, when the hive needs to be at its maximum strength, and lays up to 2500 eggs per day. (Every woman's nightmare)
The male honey bees are called drones, and they do no work at all, have no stinger, all they do is mating. (Every man's dream job)
Each honey bee colony has a unique odour for members' identification.
I went to the Illuminate Yaletown festival Saturday night to take images of the projections onto buildings, but ended up instead using the interesting reflected light to take photos of photographers taking photos...
