(Behind-the-scene: I shot this under the rain. I had my wifes huge umbrella clipped under left armpit and side of left face while I focused and made adjustments with both hands. It wasn't too dark, although the rain was unrelenting. I was careful not to let a drop fall on Lucio. It was cold, and wet, and fun! This is another of my wife's Pink Hibiscus. I am just glad they are sturdy enough to withstand the cold weather we've been getting. But I know it's only a matter of time before they all give i to the cold climate settling in.)
Working with my new ND 6 stop filter in overcast was a bit of a wash, especially with long exposures blurred by the wind added into the mix. Yet, the added color depth from the filter gave this pseudo IR processing some interesting textures!
I noticed this ND filter is quite good at differentiating green hues. I look forward to testing as I'm hoping it'll replace my polarizing filter in more instances. Anyone else using the Breakthrough Photography filters?

Anna's Hummingbirds are the only hummingbird to have a gorget that encompasses its whole head. Such a ferocious display for such a tiny little bird. He was letting everyone know this was his domain and did a few "J pops" to prove it. Fortunately he sat still long enough to get his portrait before he had to defend his realm yet again.

Not sure about how you feel about it, but for me it sounds pretentious to talk about my followers. Contacts had connotations of mutuality. Followers sounds hierarchical.

June 2015, I went into the City of Sydney to view firsthand the spectacular VIVID SYDNEY, a festival of light, patterns, music and ideas.
This image is one of my long exposure photographs of the bright and colorful projections of light on the Sydney Opera House. These colorful projections were continuously changing making Sydney Harbour look like a piece of art.
Coloring the city with creativity and inspiration, Vivid Sydney highlights include the hugely popular immersive light installations and projections; Vivid Aquatique immersive water theatre; performances from local and international musicians at Vivid LIVE at Sydney Opera House and the Vivid Ideas Exchange featuring public talks and debates from leading global creative thinkers.
The Sydney Opera House was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site on 28 June 2007. It is one of the 20th century's most distinctive buildings and one of the most famous performing arts centers in the world.
The Sydney Opera House is on Bennelong Point in Sydney Harbour, close to the Sydney Harbour Bridge. It sits at the north-eastern tip of the Sydney central business district (the CBD), surrounded on three sides by the harbour (Sydney Cove and Farm Cove) and inland by the Royal Botanic Gardens.
