we found this spyder yesterday night " hunting an ant "... my friends helped me with their smarthphones permanent flash's to get more light then I took this shot ...

The result is just amazing ,, I think this is the best shot i have done until now :)

ps: I used a raynox DCR 250 for the macro with standard DSLR lens .

Looking back through my files at photos taken over the last few years, I came upon a series of shots of a sparrowhawk, taken at Potteric Carr nature reserve. I remember scrambling for my camera as the bird landed under a tree, searching for prey which had vanished into the bushes. The sun was setting on a February day, backlighting the bird and creating lovely lights among the shadows

The Rules of the Game:

Posting of a detail fragment of a work of art will take place sometime after 8:00 PM EST, five days a week (Sunday; Monday; Tuesday; Wednesday; Thursday. There are no IDs on Friday or Saturday)

Correct answers are allotted points in the following manner:

First correct respondent receives 6 points

Second: 5 points

third: 4 points

fourth: 3 points

fifth: 2 points

Each respondent after that receives 1 point, whether the artist named is correct or not.. 2 points will be awarded if there were not 5 awards.

Incorrect responses will be awarded at least one point (there is no penalty for guessing...actually encouraged).

The opportunity to accrue points can only happen within a maximum of 24 hours. Once the full photograph of the work of Art is elevated and the artist identified, no additional scoring (for that work can occur). (In other words, regardless of pleas, points will not be awarded for a comment/ID made days after the posting) ( Also, 15 guesses does not generate 15 points...only 1 point )

A favorite of the photograph will also garnish 1 point ( only if nothing else is ventured by the participant,…1 point is not added to any other points awarded ).

A summary of scores for the top five positions will be published each Sunday, at the beginning of each set of five photographs.

Caveats / Understanding:

Postings may be held up due to circumstances beyond my control.

Delays in posting may occur each evening. ( sorry, no guarantee on 8:00 EDT, I’m a working stiff in the finance industry and there are late nights at times. – usually month end btw ).

In addition, as most of you are aware, part of the clues for each identity is a ā€œpresence/absenceā€ notation about whether the artist has been in a prior Identity Set. Because flickr’s new format doesn’t facilitate the reading of a long list of names in a ā€œSet’sā€ overview/description, those lists are also available on request. If you send me an email address that can receive attachments, I will transmit an Windows based Excel sheet with the names of the artists and the number of their paintings/objects. ( Be sure to specify which format you would like: xlsx; xls; csv; txt – tab delimited – if you don’t specify the default is xlsx MS Office-10). ( non-windows participants should request txt).

Also, sorry for the bias the timing provides those in the Americas but no matter how I thought about it… I couldn’t come up with a plan to assist Europe and Asia.

Sometimes they come too close and they have gone past before you lift your camera.

A magpie couple has a nest in a tree just behind our house. One of the neighbour's cats loves to lie on their shed rooftop next to the tree, but obviously the two magpies aren't too pleased about that. They spent a good ten minutes trying to chase the cat away by flying over its head and picking at its tale, all the while making a terrible raucous. In the end, the cat had enough and left.

Life in the wilderness is one of survival, the predator verses prey scenario is played out many times each and every day. In this photo, the fox was the winner and it is bringing home a young goose that it killed on the tundra of Prudhoe Bay. While it is tragic that a young goose has perished, the fox kits back in the den will survive another day.

The prey are easy to see. The predator is hidden. But, the buck sees it. It was a few minutes until the little buck finally chased it away.

"She says the jungle... it just came alive and took him. [...] It changed colors, like the chameleon, it uses the jungle."

The Great Blue Herons at Tiedeman's Pond look so graceful and meditative standing in the shallows at sundown, it's easy to forget they're predators. But, of course, they are.

The Predator Prowler Is an alien gunship, used when conqering Earth like planets/civilisations. It is a VTOL, but is also equiped with a gravity controler...........

A baby praying mantis is already a killing machine!

The Predator Elite is the latest MOC in a series of alien Warcrafts, startet with this one

and then this

and i foresee that more will come in the future.

I plan to make it part of a display, wich i am working on and hopefully will bring to our annual RLUG Convention at the end of April.

I still need to do a few small finishing touches here and there, but was overall quite satisfied, so had to post.

The Predator Elite is a medium to heavy warfighter, which will engage any enemy, be it in the air, sea or at the ground, dosn't matter. They are known to be ferocious and know no fear and will engage at any oportunity..........

Please enjoy, and feel free to comment.

As usual, it was first designed in LDD, but during rebuilding it in Mecabricks I found there are some parts missing. For a first time added them in directly Blender.

These are the bipeds of the Lime Legión. They are fast and slizzy not being armed with heavy weapons.Depemding on the model it can have a pack or a barrel of missiles.

White marks or parts show higher degree in command chain usually due to success in battlefield.

The structure of the cabin also uses the Wheel part etc. and articulations of legs have been done with guns and technic links. Curiously it can stand up without falling.

HOPE YOU ENJOY

Borrowed a metal Predator model, made from nuts, bolts and screws along with some bits of chain and scrap metal pieces all welded together. i was so impressed with it i had to try and get an image.
