1964 Fender Precision Bass. Original Sunburst finish. Rosewood fingerboard & C profile neck. Weight: 8.2 lbs. Serial: L33056. All original other than some touched up solder. original case (cosmetically the exterior of the case has seen better days but the latches & handle still work, the interior is still in good condition) This bass plays and sounds awesome. The tone is rich, warm and round which you can only get from these early Fenders. The body shows some wear around the edges & a few nicks and dings but nothing major. The neck is very slim & smooth with some of the finish having worn off. This can all be seen in the pics. The frets have very little play wear. All hardware & electronics work with no issues including the truss rod. The headstock is very clean. Set up nice and low with a great action by my technician. The pots date the 26th week of 64, the neck date is 5th July 64 C.

Been playing with the idea of precission and equilibrium for a few days now.. I guess it comes from my need to regroup and find balance in my day to day life.
Originally the picture was going to be taken with an apple instead of a grapefruit, but somebody ate it! haha.. really, its nowhere to be found.. I guess I left it just a bit too right in the living room...
Got the machete a couple of weeks ago I think.. a completely different idea I had for it.. then again, the rope has demonstrated its flexibility of use as well!
Alright.. Saturday now.. went out with a few good friends yesterday and my head is killing me now.. but that didnt stop me from waking up eearly to work on the pic.. waater.. noow.. neeed..

Arguably the best OO scale car kits in terms of accuracy and detail are the 'Carkit-4' range from Taylor Plastic Models, which despite the company name are actually made of resin and whitemetal with etched stainless steel details. Seen here are the two most modern cars in the range, Mark 3 versions of the Ford Escort 3-door L and Vauxhall Cavalier hatchback; the Escort has a resin body and the rest in whitemetal but the Cavalier is largely resin with only a few metal parts. They are a little tricky to build but make up into good looking models.
With little towns dotting the British landscape, I suppose lorry / truck drivers are used to driving on narrow and winding streets. Still, this DAF lorry driver impressed me and a couple from Cambridgeshire sitting next to me a lot!

In Britain I believe this sort of lorry is called an artic one, short for articulated lorry. In North America we call it a tractor-trailer. In Cantonese Chinese, we call it a "container truck".

Was at Mylapore today to attend the Mylapore Festival which is conducted by Sundaram Finance every year. All great cities have a soul. Mylapore can rightfully claim to be the soul of Chennai city here in south India. It pre-dates Chennai's birth and has seen the city grow as it has, its own. Mylapore retains the look and feel of an old neighborhood, the culture and heritage typically south Indian, yet it has not escaped development. This place then is also just the setting for a cultural festival. That is why the Sundaram Finance sponsored Mylapore Festival is organised every year in January, on the eve of the local harvest festival of Pongal.
