2010 - Printed at Columbia Book & Paper Arts workshop that was led by Jim and Bill Moran of Hamilton Wood Type. Our instructors brought an amazing collection of 1930-1950 era advertising blocks/cuts acquired from Globe Printing of Chicago. (This was subsequently used by Target for a new apparel collection).
Many collectors immediately think this watch is fake -- or a complete redial. Although the luminous has been retouched, the watch and Explorer dial are authentic.
This is a seldom seen Rolex Precision 6444. I have verified it with at least two Rolex published catalogs from the 1960s (or was it the 1950s?). Anyway, it has a 34mm SS case -- and originally came on a lizard strap. Maybe this was the manual wind Rolex version of the ever-popular Tudor Ranger.

They are really long balconies and must have great views. But I really like our roof terrace - much bigger, more private and more protected from the breezes as you ascend from ground level. The guys under that great lump of slowly swinging steel must feel a bit uneasy?
I will do more micro. And thanks to Debbie. I was trying to shoot stuff from work. This is what I got. Not perfect but I run out of time. I know what to pay more attention too. That is all for today. More Micro-shoot tomorrow.
I bought this '75 Precision Bass in 1997 or so for $500 from a guy on alt.guitar.bass. Remember newsgroups? I didn't think so.
I upgraded the pickup with a Duncan Quarter Pounder and swapped the original black pickguard for the tortoise shell one shown. I still have all the original stuff in case I ever need to sell it. (I will never sell this guitar, the good lord willin' and the crick don't rise.)

1964 Fender Precision Bass. Original Sunburst finish. Rosewood fingerboard & C profile neck. Weight: 8.2 lbs. Serial: L33056. All original other than some touched up solder. original case (cosmetically the exterior of the case has seen better days but the latches & handle still work, the interior is still in good condition) This bass plays and sounds awesome. The tone is rich, warm and round which you can only get from these early Fenders. The body shows some wear around the edges & a few nicks and dings but nothing major. The neck is very slim & smooth with some of the finish having worn off. This can all be seen in the pics. The frets have very little play wear. All hardware & electronics work with no issues including the truss rod. The headstock is very clean. Set up nice and low with a great action by my technician. The pots date the 26th week of 64, the neck date is 5th July 64 C.
