Every Sunday evening is duelling practice time on Barracuda Bay! So Lady Anchor and Robin Loot square off and prepare to contest their skill. On frequent occasion, after the count of ten paces, Robin has be known to swig her liquor instead of shooting.
Snooker practice
Stage II
Pot all reds, each followed by a colour.
Reset everytime you miss or hit a ball other than the one you're attempting to pot.
(I think this night my best run was 7 reds and 7 colours. A far cry from my best run of 11 reds and 10 colours.)
With a total of 36 pots required to clear the table, my 'average best run' is weak at about 14 and my all-time best run of 21 is so close, yet so far. I've read that to be taken seriously as a snooker player, one should be able to clear this practice without too much difficulty. AND, once you've cleared it, you're supposed to reset it and keep going until you miss. I dunno. Maybe I could get there one day if I didn't drink while practicing, but then where would the fun be in that?
After months of weekend practice the house gets burned today. 19* and it's gonna be a cold one. Us wives have chili and breads etc. for afterwards. They are going to need it. This property was purchased and someday a fire hall for the township will sit on this corner lot.
91/365 – PRACTICE - “JUSTICE”
Day 91 of the 365 Journey.
After weeks of despair, Justice finally realizes how to “turn on” this newly discovered energy….well kinda. “Sigh…what good is this? (Sarcastic tone) Really? WOW I can turn things red. That’s my power?!” Another frustrated sigh… “How am I going to stop crime with this? Turn the green light red so the bad guys hit the breaks?
“Ahhhhh, There’s gotta be more to this.”
…to be continued.

Ficou acordado a noite toda. Hihihihihi! *///////* Então preciso treinar, treinar e treinar bastante!
Tchau, Diário!

Evilyn's daily practice with her telekinesis powers is really paying off... from levitating her sister Ivy, she's now moved on to levitating me!

I'm hoping that daily practice might help me improve my photography, so i started a non-dolly flickr on 2nd January. I'm not calling it a 365 project because i doubt i'll get that far! but i'm doing as much as i can.
This was my first attempt at this kind of self portrait, and it wasn't mega successful. I had some technical issues that meant it couldn't come out quite how i wanted it to, but i decided not to re-shoot it, so i'm putting it on here as it's technically a dolly photo :)
Edit: In case you're wondering, there is very little editing in this scene, the in-camera photo is not very different at all - my dress covered almost all of the stool i was leaning back on so there wasn't much to edit out ;)
He actually had a guy come up and tell him to play him a tune. The guy was more impressed that he could play "Californication" pretty well.
Two young males couldn't resist a quick joust, though it looked rather half-hearted and only lasted for a minute or so.

******************************************************************************
The Roseate Spoonbill is a wading bird of the ibis and spoonbill family. This species feeds in shallow fresh or coastal waters by swinging its bill from side to side as it steadily walks through the water, often in groups. The spoon-shaped bill allows it to sift easily through mud. It feeds on crustaceans, aquatic insects, frogs, newts and very small fish ignored by larger waders. The Roseate Spoonbill nests in shrubs or trees, often mangroves, laying 2 to 5 eggs, which are whitish with brown markings. Immature birds have white, feathered heads, and the pink of the plumage is paler. They are extremely agile high in the treetops. (They are often confused with the flamingo.)
