The power station in the water gap of the Steyr river is operating since 1908.
Coal fired power plant, two blocks with 757 MW in total. One block now in demolition/deconstruction.

Transmission lines paralleling Texa hwy 146 at the Kemah Bridge.Shot in late afternoon. For Telegraph Tuesdays
It was a great deal of fun working along side this log to create an image. As each wave came to shore it would move the log and sometimes result in a splash. The size of the wave gave rise to the effect it had on the log.
After multiple shots, this one turned out best in this experiment with waves. The power of water can never be taken for granted. Its motion resulted in this transference of power that culminated in a huge splash.
Golden Eagle Power - October 2017.
I first got my start in photography and videography back in the 90s when I was leading the video department at Fox Racing. I always loved telephoto zoom lenses and the impact they create when shooting from distance and compressing a scene.
A few years later I bought a 35mm camera and a 100-500mm Sigma so that I could document the surf trips we used to go on.
It wasn’t until around 2015 that I began aiming my zoom lens at wildlife, nature and landscapes. It was a whole new perspective and one which I fell in love with quickly.
Initially, wildlife intrigued me and particularly RAPTORS. So I began a pursuit of trying to get better and more importantly, learning how to quickly identify what is what. It was a steep learning curve but one that is fun to pursue.
In 2017 I came across this Golden Eagle scene and to this day it is the best golden opportunity that I’ve ever encountered. It was hunting from a fence post as I was driving past and I was able to pull over and get a sequence as it jumped and flew by me.
2017 was my high water mark for wildlife shooting. Back then, that is pretty much all I shot. Since that time, I have begun to focus more of landscapes, seascapes, moonscapes, and Astro-photography. But roots often call you back, and I’ve never really left, so I continued to enjoy chasing after elusive raptor and wildlife ops.

Pylons and power lines supplying electricity to Adelaide, generated from natural gas by the Torrrens Island Power Station.
With the introduction of wind and solar power, the power station has been gradually shut down, with the ability to be recalled if needed.
Cottam Power Station, Trent Valley. It was almost dark when I took this, without a breath of wind and a clear sky. I tweaked the highlights and added some contrast in Lightroom to get this surreal image. I'm looking forward to some early morning light and mist on the lake in this location. My fascination with the Trent Valley power stations continues....would have loved to have shot them before they were all decommissioned, trying to make the most of them before they are demolished.

This came in low early in the morning about 50 ft of the ground following power lines,i just happened to have the 100-400 on my camera
Oil fired radiant boiler with 139 atü (built by Steinmüller 1965) - Abandoned power plant for a former paper mill.
Power lines parallel the road leaving Bear Lake National Wildlife Refuge just after sunset. I think these lines supply electricity to Lifton Pumping Station at Bear Lake, Idaho.
I think that this is some type of Roach. I found it hiding under a rock in Maryland.

Steel Tower in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania controlled interlockings on the east side of Allentown Yard. Although its name may imply a proximity to the sprawling Bethlehem Steel complex, it was actually across the river behind Bethlehem Steel Fabricators.
