I have no idea why this isn't in my stream. It was a finalist in Nature's Best this year in the weather category. It was the most intense storm I have come across so far. This is 2 shots at 10mm(16mm equivalent) and just a massive storm. I am told this is probably a microburst.
I also wanted to announce, I will be at the Beaux Arts Festival on the University of Miami's campus this weekend. Stop by and buy something. =)

An American Kestrel hiding in the solid superstructure of a power pole. It appears to be patiently waiting for an adventuring Vole, the favorite food source of this tiny (100g) and colorful falcon.
Although I've seen several this season, Kestrels are considered uncommon to rare.

Weather news predicts a very nasty 3 day storm event approaching with very heavy rain, very strong wind gusts and get this maybe wet SNOW.
Yup, the weather presenter was spot on!

With extra power brought down to protect against power needed for a coal train, the power was not needed and had to go back to Saginaw for Monday trains. Starting in Flint on Sunday evening, Y119 is just leaving McGrew yard for Saginaw with a sexy sextet of matched paint 4 and 6 axle units. 4 other units are awaiting future assignments at the north end of the yard as well, but none of this will move until after dark.

Aberdeen Harbour South Breakwater taking a battering from rough weather back in March. I liked the shape of the wave in this shot, really conveying the power of the sea.
Dundas Square is Toronto's answer to Times Square with many advertising billboards. It is also site for outdoor concerts and festivals. It was a place for protests and demonstrations, until the authorities decided that in the name of Democracy, protests are only permitted for approved causes and for freedoms in countries far away. I was crossing the square, when the billboard above flooded the place with colour on otherwise grey drizzly day. The square was not always there. It opened in 2002 in effort to revitalize the area. To be honest, I should, but do not remember what was there before.

Out of the city; back to the country. I stopped the car to shoot a group of trees, but found this composition more compelling. Seen in County Mayo, Ireland.

This is truly an amazing item which can not be accurately displayed in a still image. The accompanying HUD allows you to switch between 4 different weapons, these knives, a hammer, a smaller hammer and also a scythe. Each time you switch between the weapons these AMAZING particle effects appear. You can also control the demon horns which have effects of their own plus much more!
