Incredibly rare newer Cleco 69kv pole. These are so rare because Cleco has only about 20 miles of 69kv lines.

I wish you could hear the Buzz these things make. Very loud when your under them

Did this also in my photo challenge (road) detour. These powerlines are pretty common.

Early 2000's insulators.

this photo appears in ' COME-BACK FROG ', available to buy from my on-line bookstore at BLURB

Hanna moved on and the sunset was colorful. I adjusted the colors to make the scene brighter.

These are some Entergy lines north of Scott with some doodad underneath. I'm not sure what it is but I think its for power regulation.

Across the Hanalei River and beyond an un-named but oft photographed waterfall, you can pick out the powerline and road.

The next pic has an image of the break.

This pole had quite a dangerous lean to it.

this is the rivercrossing at the Haringvliet bridge

its the highest rivercrossing in the netherlands

towering at 145/150 meters.

Ironicly the standard pylons are one of the smallest types used and this is the only line using this type.

If I'm ever lying on the sidewalk, left for dead in front of my apartment building, this would be what I'm looking at. This really is a dark series, isn't it?

On the other side, this line continues to Lafayette, another Cleco 138kv goes to Opelousas, and a Slemco 138kv line heads to Eunice

They decided to go with sidemounted insulators, probably because the new pole is much further to the side than the old one.

The old crossarms were replace for these insulators, but the wires or poles weren't changed

This is one of the three new ALP substations built by Cleco and Entergy.

The crossarm and insulators were replaced on this one.
