Some powerlines close to the highway A59 and the Maashorst area near Loo (Nistelrode), the Netherlands
These were a single 12kv circuit that was moved over to expand the street. Later a substation was built and another circuit added.
A crews with Coos-Curry Electrical Cooperative works on the three new power poles and transmission lines installed on the edge of marsh restoration area in the Smith Tract of Bandon Marsh NWR. The transmission line formerly ran through interior of the restoration site.

Looks like they finally came and changed crossarms down here. Either that or Hurricane Isaac damaged a lot of the old ones. On many they kept the old insulators.
Although the powerlines pass through Pajarito Mesa, most residents have no electricity in their homes.
Most of the time I am taking photographs of the beautiful scenery in New Mexico, but when we travel to Pajarito Mesa things change a bit. A spent the afternoon in the west mesa, and I don't know why it is, but I get this compelling sense of urgency to drive myself to the area for pictures.
This year they found remains (bones) of at least 12 females and a fetus burried in the sand. Then there was that day last week when I was sent to the crime scene on the west side to dig for bones, it is labeled the largest crime scene in New Mexico history.
Today was the first outing with my D700 and the 14-24mm lens, I like it..
Crossingmasten over de Lek tussen Nieuw Lekkerland en Lekkerkerk.
De twee grote masten zijn 163mtr hoog, en staan 700mtr uit elkaar, de twee kleinere masten op de dijken zijn 105mtr hoog, en staan 440mtr uit elkaar.
De zeeg (doorhang) van de geleiders verandert tijdens hete dagen of piektransport, en is van belang voor de zwaai, en natuurlijk voor de doorvaart hoogte.
