Its actually quite rare to see LUS use wooden extensions on a pole rather than metal ones.

Not too sure if the top is 34.5, but further up, the insulators are much larger.

Powerline's new 48 came in for a lot of criticism, in my opinion much of it unwarranted. You can see here the detailing is certainly a big improvement. The new model also has working marker lights.

This pole was built in a rush after the old one was smashed by Hurricane Gustav.

Yes this pole does have this much lean to it.

my powerline 48, the handbrake chain is off at the moment until I redo the chain so it's not tight, I'm figuring a piece of real chain oughta do it. I also pinted the face in skin tone, the green seems a bit much, might have to re-do the clothes

The top circuit is de-energized. I may have taken pics of these before.

Upgrading this line to a three phase circuit.

I guess the 12kv side used to power the hospital right here until it was decommisioned and LUS took over this area.

Cleco's High Tension Wires plugging into an LUS substation. I don't know if they are buying or selling power to LUS, but since LUS has a power plant nearby I would guess it's buying.
