This busy riser just got a lot busier with the new 12kv line run underneath Slemco's lines

Cleco's ALP line follows their older 138kv line.

Can you count all the triangles you see in this mast ?

These masts are totally made out of them.

The geometric triangle is the strongest shape to build them out of.

You'll be amazed how many triangles (hidden or not, big or small, equilateral or isosceles) are used in building architecture.

Entergy 12kv circuits turning toward the substation

This looks to be a 230kv and (Tall Pylon on the right) 115kv (H-Frame structure in the middle) Transmission Lines. And a 34.5kv Sub-Transmission over 12.47kv Distribution (The small lines to the left). Outside of Zion, IL in Wadsworth, IL.

with a hook on top.

This is one of Cleco's longest line of high voltage lines. They run all the way from the St. Landry power plant down to the coast near Morgan City and connects to the Entergy lines down there.

I'm only guessing, but I think the left side is 69KV and the left side is lower. Pretty thick concrete pole.

The crossarms on this pole must have been destroyed by Gustav. These are only 13.5kv but they put 34.5kv insulators on this one.

I hate this ALWAYS !!! power lines hurt the most, more than shading and lining, well for me.

Louisville, Colorado. Powerlines against the dawn sky.

This was the closest I could get to one of Cleco's newer H-Frame designs. The one on the left is the newer one, with a metal crossarm, but the supports are only in the middle.
