Post Card Magazine Collage #1

Magazine cut outs stuck to card and covered with sticky back plastic. Voilà!

Post card of the Grand Hotel at Point Clear, postmarked 1 May 1950. Info from rear of card "In addition to salt water bathing in the blue waters of Mobile Bay "right in its front yard," Grand Hotel also maintains a large fresh water pool with under-water lighting. The hotel's 18-hole golf course, only a few hundred yards away, is one of the south's best." No publisher or photographer listed on rear of card.

Japanese home front postal card, back.

Size of all of these is about 3 9/16" x 5 9/16". This seems to have been standard for IPU postcards, odd the Japanese would conform to those rules as a right wing fascist power.

But apparently they did.

...taken in The Butcher Shop restaurant...

Thanks for looking. I appreciate feedback.

Yikes -- it is hard to decide -- I have done 3 versions of this same shot and of course they all look at little different. I went up to the bridge late yesterday afternoon -- of course it was raining. The rain did let up a bit but it was kind of a dark moody day.

I am thinking I like this one better -- but who knows tomorrow I might like the other version better ;-)

To my Grandfather from his mother. With Norwegian of today, I learned that Mother is now Mor. Moder Is they how spelled Mother.
