This is possibly the first mail car to operate on the Hay to Deniliquin Run, It was operated by Smith Simpsons, using a S.C.A.T. car. (see Riverine Grazier of 05 Jan 1915)
Vintage Post Card Printed by Winter Wonderland Card CO, Grand Rapids, MI. Postmarked July 20, 1961 - Mailed to Chicago, IL.
Caption on the back reads; Fishing Village at Leland, Michigan...showing the channel and the fishing boats. Tourists may watch the fisherman at work mending nets and preparing the fish for market.
Leland is located along the shores of Lake Michigan in Leelanau County north of Traverse City.
Post card purchased at a recent estate sale. The background is a brown paper grocery store bag.

Rivermont Park, which was located where today's Rivermont Park Apartments are located (near the Cavalier Store), is not to be confused with Riverside Park.

Post card printed sometime before 1950. Previous name was Altadena Hotel. It was located on 4th Street (US-1) in Fort Pierce about a block north of the south bridge causeway. It faced east so that must be the setting sun behind it. This is likely a hand tinted black and white photo.
I lived there when I was in high school.
Those are coconut palms.

These are tooo cute ! Vintage look french post cards that I have made into tags embellished with little flower posies !
I love this picture! I bought this post card a few years ago but had never gotten around to taking any pictures of it.
Any comments on how to improve would be welcomed :)
This post card was sent on April 2, 1914 from Grandma Smith to Leona Smith in Theresa, New York. I bought the card at an antique store. The card reads, "Thursday, Dear Leona. Grandma was awful sick Monday night and Tuesday. Had the Dr. once, am a lot better now. Tell Mama I have got my pretty carpet down, it looks good. Has Ma got the comona made for your baby. Mrs. Jake Young is awful sick with pnemonia. Hope Leona and PaPa and MaMa are well. Come and see Grandma as soon as you can, love to all from Grandma Smith to Leona."

Vintage postally unused gag humor comic post card. Still as funny today as it was back then. Nice comic artwork. It’s always a thrill when it’s from Vinnie DeVille!
