This is the poster part of a larger project that chronicled the impact of the COVID-19 caused University of Colorado Denver. These maps, the accompanying narrative information, and the data presented are intended to be informational pieces that negotiate the difference between the world of academic poster presentation and a more commercial design treatment. They are intended to deliver informational content that frames an over eighteen-month campus closure as one which allowed our University of Colorado Denver community to remain connected and thrive in the face of this adversity. We created a positive disruption together!

It's what keeps me moving forward. I try to surround myself with it in order to create an inpenatrable barrier to keep negative thoughts (AND PEOPLE) out.
It's kind of hard to reach for the stars while shackled to the ground by negative thoughts and beliefs. Yup, I drank the kool-aide a long time ago, nobody is full of positive energy. - TMNK

Apparently positive graffiti does exist in Utrecht and it's making it's point very clear. I actually enjoyed coming across this hidden treasure!
Tulou, a place of wonder has a bustling life beyond tourism. The people are nice, laid back and enjoy every moment of their simple yet fulfilling lives. The food are great and the living style forced a positive community rather than isolation.
okay, i know this is a crappy shot (i hate my face in profile!!!) but i am sooo happy right now, i had to share this, and this is the latest picture of me (about 2 a week ago...)...
so anyway, i finally got some positive news!!!
1) the academy of advertising apparently liked my work/portfolio because i am invited to participate at their exam next week thursday!!! if i don't screw this up, the next step will be an invitation to an interview and finally the acceptance to the school (which basically is my dream!!!)... so yay, i'm really happy!!! even if i mess up the exam next week, it really feels good that someone thinks my work is worth inviting me!!!
and 2) one of the graphic designers i applied with in february told me to contact him again at the beginning of may, which i did today and he immediately responded, telling me to call him to fix a date for an interview!!! yay!!
i so hope, that at least one of these things work out, after all i was getting really depressed and down for not finding a job and not being accepted at the schools i want to attend... basically, those are the first good news in about a year! and i'm just happy... and scared as hell to be honest... no messing up allowed!!
anyway, i just wanted to share that with you guys...
oh, and that's my new favourite scarf btw :)
Two cheetah cubs, a male and a female, soak up some sun at the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute in Front Royal, Virginia. They were born at this facility, which is part of the Smithsonian National Zoological Park, in December 2010 to two mothers, Amani and Zazi. Because cheetahs cannot biologically produce milk for a single cub, SCBI scientists placed both cubs together under the care of Zazi, an experienced mother. This technique, called “cross-fostering,” helped her produce enough milk to sustain both cubs, and they are thriving.
Since March, head cheetah keeper Lacey Braun has been training the cubs to voluntarily enter a crate and step on a scale. Keepers also target train animals through positive reinforcement; in other words, when the animal demonstrates the desired behavior asked for by the trainer, it is given a reward (with the cheetahs, the reward is usually food). Once the cubs learn to follow the target, this exercise will be useful for training more difficult behaviors.

I don't know how that happen but I really like this picture. The footprint looks like the Jaguar is walking under the mud!!!!
