I was going back through my bug photos from last year, looking for a good one to add tonight since there's not much new happening out in nature right now here in the local area, when I came across this photo of a white-tailed deer fawn that I found out in the forest last spring while photographing insects. I'd forgotten that I even took the photo since I download all my bug photos into special files and wait until winter to look at them and then try to figure out what I found. I'm positive that I photographed this fawn that stood up at my feet with a macro lens
Being positive does not mean that everything is good or is going well. It means that you deal with what is happening in a positive way.

It seems to me that global politics have become very negative, which produces more stress and unease. It is time for us to adopt a more positive attitude, positivity creates positivity, negativism does the opposite, so let's try a new line of thought, we will all be much healthier! Our politicians surely could learn a lesson from the following:

The way ahead, following your intuition.
The tricky part is that intuition can be confused with your own Ego.
Your Ego overrules your intuition and says to you, in your thoughts, that you must do the fun stuff you want to do. The "fun" stuff can be bullying others, eat too much, not study when you know you have to, crossing all kind of lines etc.
You'll find all kinds of excuses to do what you want to do, but there might be a lower voice which says Stop, and that is your intuition.
Try to find it, start listening to it. It has many interesting ideas and I for one think our lives can walk on quite different paths than we had imagined if we bring forward our intuition.
If you want something changed in you, like the view you have upon yourself or getting a higher self esteem, losing weight etc, you should start talking to your unconscious mind.
How to do that is pretty simple and awkward or strange, at the same time.
You shall repeat small nice sentences many times a day, talk to yourself repeatedly by using positive words. Your unconscious mind will surrender and start think so too, if you only repeat the positive loaded words.
Why not try it.
We all know how good we are to look in the mirror and say Sh.. how awful I look today. Turn your attitude and say Wow I look fabulous today.
It sure has a nice ring to it, hasn't it, and it works too.

After intercepting the line of storms just south of Rotterdam, I decided to let the shelf cloud come over me.
Windshear and instability were not too impressive, so I didn't expect it to remain a long-lived storm.
It produced a few positive lightning bolts before fading out. One of these cg+ can be seen on this image.

Combining my tree theme with my Linda Kemp workshop here to produce trees in the negative painting style. This actually started off as trees in the positive, but my negative brain kicked in and this was the result. Sometimes there is no point in fighting it.

while hunting for another photo in my vast store of "stuff", I ran into the photo on the left. I don't know how, or when, or why, but I thought I'd to invert and see what was there. It's definitely me, I must have been working on making negatives at the time.

In 1890 and 1891 the chairman of the American Acclimatization Society released about 100 starlings in New York's Central Park... and the rest is history. Now considered an aggressive, invasive species, starlings force native songbirds out of their nesting sites - especially tree cavities. I've seen this right here in Saskatchewan. There are now 200 million starlings in North America, and they are blamed for a significant decline in native species in many areas.
And so, I don't have any warm fuzzy feelings for this gang of nine, photographed on a power line along Butte Road last fall. But we are stuck with them.
Environmental impact aside, they are not unattractive birds. That is the most positive thing I can say about them.
More birds to come during the next few days. But no more starlings!
