For my PA3 project showing my life as a student.

Before i got to taking Bobby's picture i approached a young couple with a really pretty lil daughter. But they turned me down, which is understandable...

I met Bobby at one of my outings with the local photo group i belong to. She was sitting on a bench admiring the colorful orchid next to her. I asked for her permission to photograph her & told her about the project. She was infact a lil excited that am going to be posting her picture online :)

Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at the 100 Strangers Flickr Group page www.flickr.com/groups/100strangers/.

My college aged daughter poses with her little buddy Max. She'd just returned from college and Max was very happy to see her again. He had missed her quite a bit because before she'd left she was taking him jogging with her.

Technically: This was a JPEG image taken into Photoshop CS2 where it was cropped. Then a level adjustment was applied. After that I duplicated the background and applied "Screen". Next, I added a gausian blur filter at 25. When I was through I faded the effect to 70% and while adding "Multiply".

Assessment:: This image was quite a bit underexposed, originally. So I really had to work with the levels to brighten it up. It was a challenge to brighten it up enough to both bring out the dog's eyes, but at the same time not overexpose my daughter's face. I struggled a bit and I also wish the image was more saturated.

Close up of the makeup. I shall integrate aspects of this into my clubbing make up. I love the branches coming off the right eye, and the "V" of the lips.

Arguably, India has the most photogenic people ever. Their sun battered faces, their colorful costumes, and their willingness to be photographed make them the best photography subjects. In this series, The Faces Of India, I showcase my portraits of the most photogenic people I met in India.

This cute kid is a Harijan in a village close to Bhuj in Kutch, Gujarat. He was sitting on her grandma's lap while I photographed him.

JD with a very rare serious face.
