A teneral Damselfly I found today at Wollaton Park, not sure on species, thinking Ischnura elegans. This one was a great subject, almost looks like it was posing for a portrait.

This was a 13 image focus stack, I used my Canon 1000D and shot using JPEGS, ISO 200, aperture F/5.6 and a 1/160 shutter speed. I used a diffused flash in ETTL mode.

Zooooommmmm

This is Atticus, a male Regal Jumping Spider. We got him at the same time as Lucy, the female that I posted a photo of about a week ago. Atticus took a little longer to get acclimated to his new home. So, I waited longer to take photos of him. I wanted to ensure that I didn't frighten him any more than he already was. When I photographed him today, he was calm, curious, and full of charisma.

This species is found in the southeastern U.S., the Greater Antilles, and the Bahamas, but is most common in peninsular Florida. Atticus and Lucy were both captive bred by a professional breeder located here in the Eastern United States.

We found this inquisitive stray puppy in a small village in central Nepal, the ticks on his eyes didn't seem to stop him from wanting to play!

This young capricorn in the Julian alp mountains of Slovenia is obviously surprised looking into the lens of a bridge camera, but it's not scared.

This was an experiment where I used a flashlight in a darkened room to provide side lighting in order to create a feeling of mystery and nostalgia in the subject.

Direct from the camera with no post-processing. This is the first portrait post here in flickr using my old Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8. I intend to compare the portrait shots with the new Nikkor lens for the details which I'm not sure that too much details is good for normal portrait or not. Unfortunately, the internet in Thailand is extreamly slow for several days so I almost couldn't upload any new photos.!!! I'll upload more later. Miss all my dear flickr friends.:)

I'm standing

on the edge of a precipice and

the ground under my feet

is burning

your steps

and my cheeks

are burning

and then you touch

my arms

are burning

and you kiss again

my lips

are burning until red-hot

after that you touch

differently

and I'm burning

wholly

I know

I won't rise from the ashes

I'd like to try more portrait photography, if only I could just get out of the candid format :-)

This is my daughter-in-law, lovingly thought of as my other daughter :-)
