I am going to upload a series of portraits taken at the 5th portrait workshop held by Dr.Prem. It was two fun filled days and a lot of learning about lighting and portraiture :-)

This rabbi in Old Jerusalem was friendly and engaging, but I sensed for fleeting moments a depth and sensitivity born of witnessing, and perhaps experiencing, some deep sadness or struggle. I was fortunate to catch something of the look in this picture.

My son who is a Senior this year. I have one in college and now another soon to begin.
I will always feel that small ache in my heart when my children start living their own lives. It isn't an ache of discomfort but more like missing someone.
I know my son will be the best in life.

So universally true is this, the spot where we chance to be always seems the best.
My settings went bonkers on my camera it seems. Most of the photos I shot today were at the lowest resolution. Unfortunately, I was rushing and did not notice until I pulled them into my computer.. Also... apparently I went a few hours into the future in a time machine. I must have invented that in my sleep.
Isn't she more beautiful than ever?
Just a snapshot that I felt had the potential to be somewhat more striking with a little change of contrast...
Let's all just silently ignore the face that this project was supposed to be finished over two months ago....

Featured in the coverpage of Nat Geo Magazine. She was an afghan refugee. This picture was shot at a refugee camp in Pakistan.
An old photograph of Emily. This is from one of the very first sets of portraits I did a couple of years back. I am sat here going through portrait shots, getting them ready for print to go on exhibition. I need to dedicate a day going through old photographs I deemed 'not quite good enough' and using new techniques on them that I have learnt over the last year.
