(September 1, 1898 - April 7, 1936) was one of the most popular Broadway musical stars of the 1920s and early 1930s. She was an accomplished tap dancer, singer and actress, but it was the combination of these talents that endeared her to audiences. On stage she usually played rags-to-riches Cinderella characters who lived happily ever after. Miller's enormous popularity and famed image were in distinct contrast to her personal life, which was marred by disappointment, tragedy, frequent illness, and ultimately her sudden death due to complications of nasal surgery at age 37.

Et qui mieux que Yann Arthus-Bertrand pour capter les personnalités à travers un objectif ? De cette réflexion est né ce projet un peu fou.

I met Nicola while getting some printing done at Bromley Copy Centre yesterday.
She was visiting a friend and needed a copy of her CV printed. As I was behind the counter helping Terry with the layout of my work I couldn't help but notice her CV when Terry loaded it up - not many have a head shot on them. I got talking to Nicola and found that she's a dancer and "Always after new head shots". The studio I use was free in the morning so we agreed to meet up again today.
Nicola is blessed with a beautiful complexion and lovely smile so I came away with some great shots that need next to no retouching.
It turns out Nicola is also going to be performing at Move It 2009.

UPDATE: Nicola has kept in touch, she'll be going through the head shots with her agent very soon. You may well have seen Nicola on the TV and not realised it. See her in action on YouTube, she's in white on the right in Professional Quickstep / Charleston - BBC - Strictly Come Dancing 2007 Week 8 Not only does Nicola dance, she sings too! Next time you're at a West End musical keep an eye on the cast, you may spot Nicola.
