Black Opal Pool (a.k.a. Black Opal Spring), Sapphire Group, Biscuit Basin, far-northwestern Upper Geyser Basin, Yellowstone Hotspot, northwestern Wyoming, USA on 10 August 2011 (looking ~NNE).
The indoor pool is located under the tennis courts. According to our guide not many of Hearst' guests used this pool because they needed to walk down and around the tennis courts in order to get to the entrance. It was used more by the employees.

Totally focused on avoiding an embarrassing pratfall, as Ash held the door for me on the outside, i had already forgotten the Macra-monster. At the billiard table, a congenial little cadre of local pool sharks, well into their warm-up routine of beer, brats, boasts and belly-laughs, turned to take in the impending comedic moment. ."Home free," i thought, after deftly maneuvering up the inclined floor. Wrong.
"Nice....uhhh...bag, man! " the jolliest of the four chuckled, but his attention quickly shifted to Ashley's entrance, stage left. "Do you really like it...a lot ?," she asked in her most enthusiastic tone. "Because it's for sale , at the right price, you know. He clearly didn't know where to go with this now and managed only a weak "uuuuhhh.....", as the other 3 musketeers laughed uproariously. "Don't mind Hank, folks....he's here to learn how to be funny, and he's got a long way to go. I'm Ed and this here's Milo and Eugene," said the oldest of the group, as he lined up a tricky shot with his cue. "Say goodbye to your money Milo," he added casually. Of course, it would in and Milo was already digging in his wallet for a $5 bill.
The merry-makers invited us to join them for drinks and pool, and we were tempted, but it had been a very long day, so we agreed to share a table at breakfast instead. "We hear you're in the 'Honeymooner'....you'll get a kick outta that one, eh?" Eugene laughed, planting an unexpected weed in our perfect day.
