Turquoise Pool is a hot spring in the Midway Geyser Basin of Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. Turquoise Pool has a temperature between 142 and 160 °F and was named by members of the Hayden Expedition of 1878.

The library hosted a swim party for all kids 6-18 who had read over 30 books in the Texas Reading Club. There was fun in the Friendswood pool, plus grilled hot dogs by the Boy Scouts and popsicles for everyone!
We passed a large pool of water in the sandstone on our way to the Cosmic Ashtray in the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument.

Bromborough Pool was developed from 1853–58 as a "model village" for the workers at the factory of Price's Patent Candle Company. The completed village comprised 142 houses with a church, school, institute, shop and library for Price's workforce. It predates the nearby model village of Port Sunlight just to its north, started in the 1880s.
The village hall was designed by Julian Hall, and was originally a school. It is in yellow brick with dressings in red brick and stone, and with a corrugated iron roof.

Rural NSW
I caught this shot of these very junior pool players in a country town in NSW. Done a bit on the run so not as sharp as I would have liked it but I was still thrilled with the result. Perhaps another Eddie Charlton in the making? Some older Australian and UK followers would remember him.
Summer will end soon enough, and childhood as well.

Kenfig Pool is the second largest natural lake in Wales. It can be found on the way down to Sker Beach in Kenfig National Nature Reserve.
Cargill Pool, built between 1925 and 1926, is the only Buffalo grain elevator located on Lake Erie (all the others are on the Buffalo River). The grain elevator was invented (or, some say, perfected) in Buffalo in the 1840s and there are still over 30 of these beautiful giants to be seen in Buffalo today.
